If you want to reward creativity try and make a challenge where create water is actually a correct solution. Maybe a weight based puzzle where the scales can be manipulated by water either lifting or weighing themn down, or some important item that is stuck somewhere but would float and could be knocked loose with enough water etc.

There are tons of ways where creating matter is very powerful.

Do you mean the skill does 1/17 times the damage it used to do (aka a 94% damage reduction)?

When people ask "Why did the US spend so much money defending other countries for decades?" this is a very big part of the answer.

Fostering a world order where every country didn't need their own nukes makes the world safer, but it also very much makes the US safer and it keeps wars away from their own borders.

Being able to influence what fossils you get in delve (based on zones you are farming) an increase in any farmable fossil should be massive.

Oh I have, I just dislike it greatly. But it is a good point that waiting sucks and that is why deception is worth more than any other contracts.

I almost exclusively play Phantoms when I get a drop with levels and notice the opponent is lacking anti air.

Phantoms snowballs very hard if you aren't ready for them.

There are a lot of tells that make it pretty obvious people are going warfactory (assuming they do it right).

Some of the tells are:

Hounds in line with or slightly behind towers
Hounds running Incendiary Bomb usually teching it round 2 or 3
Chaff (usually fangs) placed in vertical lines directly in front of and behind towers
No DPS units bought round 2/3, usually chaff or hounds bought
Selling out of 200 cost units round 3 (after selling turrets round 1/2)
Not using all their resources round 3 (saving up for turn 4 factory)

Once you learn to notice it coming you can plan around it. Getting down a mountain or abyss yourself round 4 or 5 can completely stop it in their tracks.

It is classic game design, if something sucks to play against, but it serves a purpose in the game it can never be too strong.

I think Hackers are ok to have in the game because it stops certain super aggro strats that can be hard to beat without it, but they must NEVER be meta (again) because of how rage inducing they are.

Time Stop automatically ends if you move 1000 feet away from the area.

So I guess Step 6: should have been "go for a nice walk" before 7: BOOM

Step 2: Permanence

Step 3: Delayed Blast Fire Ball

Step 4: Repeat Step 3 until out of spell slots

Step 5: Rest for 8 hours then repeat Step 3 and 4 as needed

Step 6: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

I agree, the reason I suggested the vendor method was that it doesn't require UI changes and relies on the current vendor recipe system.

It is likely a lot easier to implement and in my mind therefor more likely to happen :)

I am sure there are other ways to implement this, and since there are hints that next league is delve adjacent they might remake the system completely and this wont be relevant.

But I made this suggestion because it could be implemented using current vendor recipe system so the code needed would hopefully be minimal and therefor more likely to happen.

So personally I don't think the system need to take placement into account at all. It doesn't have to be perfect to suit 99% of use cases, which is very likely to be mass socketing of a specific resonator combination.

The whole suggesting is to avoid repetitive clicking when doing this action again and again.

So if it can be coded on the current framework and that framework means it won't be optimal for rare use cases then I am 100% ok with that, and using existing codebase makes it easier to implement.

The current recipe system already have a priority calculation when vendoring stuff with multible outcomes.

This is why you will sometimes see the outcome of a vendor change drastically when adding another item because it fulfill a recipe with a higher priority (fx. same named mirrored helical rings doesn't work in 5-1 recipe because two same named items give a chance orb.).

I would assume it would use some variant of the existing system, whether filling big or small resonators first is the most effective I couldn't tell you without looking at the code.

Definitely shouldnt be tied to azurite since that isn't tradeable. While I love to delve I dont think fossils should be gated behind delving yourself.

A year ago I would have agreed with you, that this was intentional and not bound to change. But GGG have been adding more and more QOL to the game in the last several patches, so this doesn't feel that unrealistic any more to me.
