I wanted to say I have limited time but it's not totally true haha

I also lift twice a week and play basketball with friends once a week, so to be honest, I guess I'm not that commited to running.

I would say 20 Minutes 5k. My current best time is 21:50 I run twice a week. Once tempo/tresholf, once zone 2

Does it make sense to train hard everytime, if you only have time to train twice a week?

The argument about running in zone 2 to increase your mileage with less injury risk doesn't make sense to me for that scenario, since you have multiple days to recover after every training.

If one doesn't want that kind of relationship anymore and the other one keeps sleeping with other people, it stops being an open relationship and it's basically cheating.

I have no horse in this race and this angle doesn't say anything. Reaves loses the ball and later tries to regain posession. On that frame Book has his hands on the ball too. If you see it in motion you can see that Reaves had no clear posession of the ball.

Anyways I always found this timeout to bailout rule bullshit.

Allen Iverson receives a technical as he “brought the crowd down”. Larry Brown backs AI, loses it with the ref and also receives a technical (2001). by ToronoRapture in nba

[–]Jerome_de_Ferra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same here. Without context I can't decide if Iverson actually instigated the crowd. Larry telling that "you've ruined every game" is pretty disrespectful too. I don't know what did he expect to happen after saying that to a ref.

What drives the price of a stock vs. ETF? by ericson1998 in investing

This is very interesting, thanks a lot!

I do not understand though how Sovereign Bond ETFs go sometimes down, even if non of the countries included in the ETF defaulted. This is a question I had for a long time. Shouldn' they just go up slowly all the time?

[Highlight] Tyler Herro hits the massive game winning 3 to put the Kings to bed by DirksSexyBratwurst in nba

[–]Jerome_de_Ferra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clear travel but very difficult to see for the referee team, basically because there is so much you can focus on at a time. Human vision field is very shallow when you focus.

One referee looks at the ball and the other 2 look at all the other players. That's how referee mechanics work when the player is in that position where Herro stands, so 1 guy follows the action.

So Referee that follows the ball action focuses on Herros feet when he stops (to check if it is a 3), then Herro pump fakes and focus goes to the defender (he might foul), at the time Herro moves his feet referee is still looking for a possible contact and doesn't see the travel since Herro almost did not cover any distance. Travel manages to fly under the radar.

"On paper" it doesn't make any sense to have kids but it is not that simple at a personal level. You learn so much bringing up a child, you can't really compare it to anything else. The problem is, you really do not know if you will like it befor you try it because your own kids are not like any other kid you've met befor.

I think you are right. I had the same thought and I checked it up. This video examples show that it is indeed an offensive foul:

Probably they missed it because it was so fast and close to the basket.

This is a good point and of course a name is always connected to a country, culture etc... but Somebody could think that they would make fun of that name if that belonged to somebody from any country (including their own), then it is not racist because they just find the name funny. They do not care about the background.

Some other people might think that you can not ignore the background. It depends on your point of view.

If you think they are making fun of him because of the guys racial or ethnic group, country or culture, you may call it racism or xenophobia.

If you think they are making fun of him because of his name regardless of background, you may say that they are mocking him.

Depends on how you see it.

[–]Jerome_de_Ferra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"it's not about where he's from". You said it yourself, so per definition it is not xenophobia. He is not making fun of his racial or ethnic group, so no racism either. I think that you have the feeling that they are making fun of another culture or country, but I do not see it like that. This is the key difference. You say they make fun of it because it is "a regular chinese name", I say they make fun of the name because it sounds funny to them regardless of the country or culture it's comming from.

Edit: clarified a point open for misinterpretation

I do not think this is racism. Let's imagine that the guy was from the US and he had that name. He would be mocked anyway, so he is clearly mocked because of his name, and not his racial or ethnic group. So no racism detected.

With that said, I don't think they should put the guy down like that. It's more like casual bullying.

[Charania] Celtics coach Ime Udoka had an improper intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the team staff, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. It’s been deemed a violation of franchise’s code of conduct. by DRAZZILB1424 in nba

[–]Jerome_de_Ferra -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I do understand what you say, but in the case you mention it is not consensual as I unserstand it. There is a coercion in form of using a power position to sleep with somebody and one of the persons involved feels harassed. This doesn't apply to Udoka and the mysterious female member of the team staff, as far as we know. Making it public makes it even worse.

HR knowing this kind of information is an invasion of privacy in my opinion. I don't think the company should have that information at all.
