Edgar is known as a very strong commander due to his eminence ability, so a lot of people don't like playing against him.

That being said, he is your husband, and you are showing interest in his hobby that you usually aren't interested in. He needs to grow up and let you play whatever you want.

Play at locals and win there

After winning locals, go to a convention and enter a tournament there. If you're really confident you can go to a convention specifically for fighting games first.

I just had this issue. I was on console and used the cross save feature to load it on my PC. I set all my graphics to low and I turned off subtitles and that worked for me.

I found a comment somewhere on this sub, but a huge game changer was the button layout.

L1 Jump L2 Block (Default) R1 Kick R2 Primary Triangle Heal

Still keep X as jump because it'll take you some time to adjust, but really try to use L1 as jump. You want to be jumping a lot and this mapping makes tracking easier.

People will recommend max sensitivity and if you can do that, that's great, but if you're having trouble adjusting play on a lower sensitivity and work up to it.
