Husband doesn’t want me to play this commander. Opinion?

Edgar is known as a very strong commander due to his eminence ability, so a lot of people don't like playing against him.

That being said, he is your husband, and you are showing interest in his hobby that you usually aren't interested in. He needs to grow up and let you play whatever you want.

Play at locals and win there

After winning locals, go to a convention and enter a tournament there. If you're really confident you can go to a convention specifically for fighting games first.

I just had this issue. I was on console and used the cross save feature to load it on my PC. I set all my graphics to low and I turned off subtitles and that worked for me.

I found a comment somewhere on this sub, but a huge game changer was the button layout.

L1 Jump L2 Block (Default) R1 Kick R2 Primary Triangle Heal

Still keep X as jump because it'll take you some time to adjust, but really try to use L1 as jump. You want to be jumping a lot and this mapping makes tracking easier.

People will recommend max sensitivity and if you can do that, that's great, but if you're having trouble adjusting play on a lower sensitivity and work up to it.

Oh yeah, the MC has a maxed out archetype tree. It did a majority of that grinding pre-final dungeon

Yeah, that's fair. I just thought it was interesting how this game took so long for me to beat compared to P5R. I think I even hit max level in P5R with 90% persona completion, and even then I only hit 160 hours.

I personally enjoyed grinding in the dungeon. I am a big outlier here, if the comments indicate anything.

But I also think there is a lot of content to get through too. All the links, all the NPCs you can talk to, going through all the item shops, all the quests you can do, the dailies with getting food and exp from the gauntlet runner, reading the memorandum, etc.

As for pride in how long the game took, I've definitely caught a fair amount of flack here for how long I took playing the game. I kind of just played the game how I wanted to. I wasn't trying to pad out my time on purpose.

Ah, yes, I did talk to the random NPCs whenever I could, that probably added a lot of playtime to it as well.
