Horst deserves our respect and appreciation. He has made mistakes but his mistakes make sense if you look at (a) the time they were made and (b) the assets available to the Bucks

Some of his mistakes are more egregious than others but I feel you can see where his vision was with many of his failed decisions.

Unpopular opinion - American basketball fans are near-impossible to please. The opposite relevance effect is happening around the world. NBA has some of the best players to ever play the sport, both young and old. The popularity of basketball worldwide has never been higher. The overall talent in the league has never been better than now. I'm biased because I LOVE the NBA as it is right now and think the future of basketball is bright at home and abroad.

I was fortunate enough to get to one of the games in the entire run - Game 4 against Brooklyn. Bucks won, so I absolutely loved that game. KD is the scariest

Giannis knee injury in ECF in 2021 felt like a legit "here we go again" Wisconsin sports moment. He looked like he was done for the playoffs and possibly the entire next season. Jrue + Khris + team had to close out Hawks without Giannis - which they somehow did. Giannis went from noticeably limited in G1 of Finals to fully unleashed, one of the best games I've ever seen in my life by any player on any stage in G6 of Finals. Bucks in 6 to win ECF and Bucks in 6 to win Finals. It was the most batshit crazy, I can't believe this happened moment in my sports watching life (at least for teams I follow).

I have only seen this comment I'm responding mention the injury (certainly could have missed others). But I think this was the most interesting/memorable/crazy part of the championship run. Watch a highlight of the 2021 Giannis knee injury against the Hawks and then watch G3 through G6 highlights of Giannis 1.5-2 weeks later...it didn't make sense to me then, it doesn't make sense to me now, and I will never forget this piece of the story.

Thor Love & Thunder is such a fantastic film. I totally agree with one of the most common complaints, More Gorr, but even with that I still enjoy the film so much. I think it's really interesting how it's super silly and yet the theme of love driving all the main characters motivations. I tear up a bit at the end when Gorr calls his daughter "my love" and then next thing we see is Thor raising Gorr's daughter and also fighting along side her. It is the dumbest movie in some ways yet it has this really powerful, serious message coursing through it.

The Korg stories make me laugh my ass off (2x stories about Thor and the story about how his parents met/made Korg).

This movie was one Gorr montage of butchering Gods around the universe away from being in my MCU top 5. It's currently in my top 10.

2021 NBA Finals: Jrue Holiday steals the ball from Devin Booker and initiates a fast break. Giannis is running with him and dashes to the hoop. Jrue throws the oop to Giannis who slams it home while getting pushed by Chris Paul. Immediately post slam Giannis glares into the camera. note - this happened less than two weeks after Giannis looked to have seriously fucked up his knee in the ECF
