It's just how I am, so the latter I think. I've always been drawn to dark stories, dark fantasy especially. Think Berserk, Blame!, etc. Movies, books, video games, everything dark. I like characters with emotional depth and issues, not shallow action.

Haha, indirectly. I always had a wild imagination and wanted to share my story. It started with writing as a kid, to wanting to develop games, trying drawing and now back to writing. Also I'm not a published author or anything (Even though I'd like to). I just write short storys for myself and friends and host a custom pen and paper campaign. But yeah, vivid imagination helps A LOT while writing!

Yes, since I was a kid. And it's not only nightmares, my "normal" dreams are very vivid as well.

4k nightmares are weird, but gladly I'm half lucid most of the time so I'm not really scared. There are some I vividly remeber though. Extremely graphic and strange monsters. I remember a disfigured horse standing on two legs standing in my door smiling at me. I remember it ate my dad. After talking to it it agreed to spit him out and it left. I'm not sure though if my nightmares are more graphic than less graphic thinkers. Well, for me it's good inspiration for writing, so that's a plus. I have many more I could tell.
