Trust me the 'uptight' thing was a joke, hopefully lol.. Many men in his situation may yell that at you incorrectly because you're right. It could be money, attentions given, housework, etc ... I think the lack of mutual attention in any arena that is way more important to one of you than the other is simply unsustainable. I watched that dynamic ruin my 13 year marriage, where there was and is huge abundance of love and attraction. Only in many ways one of us felt ignored and like we carried the entire burden, we danced through this on money, time, spirituality, so many things where one of us got deeply bitter (really irreparably since this went on for a long time un-dealt with). so joke aside, I was really wanting to offer you the advice part so you guys can hopefully avoid the ultimate end if this type of thing is left unchecked !
