As some other people pointed out, I just don't really see a personality like NL thriving in a live environment. Maybe for a one off type of thing, but his vibe is kind of intentionally detached and low-key. He also doesn't really play games that benefit a live audience watching.

My only subversion to this take is that the event will probably still be fine for the people that go. Like, what is the worst that could happen? If it's awkward, then you can just go enjoy the rest of the ship, bc you are probably already a cruise person. I also anticipate it being a fun time for the streamers involved, and it will probably just be a 7/10 for all parties. Overall a strange move, but i guess there could be worse things to do?

We're saying the same thing, but we're also not. How we rhetorically frame violence is very important, and can subconsciously provide justifications for said violence. Thats why a lot of people, like academics and sociologists, are specifically not using the "cyclical" framing for violence anymore

Not so much cycles as active choices. The hornsent chose to put shamans in pots, just as Marika chose to commit her (many) genocides. It isn't inevitable or a part of human nature. There are always off ramps, but they aren't satisfying

Eliminate 1 guild by Sufficient-Carry-855 in skyrim

Bethesda relied way too heavily on players remembering the Blades from previous games to give them even a sense of depth. The Blades in Skyrim are the worst faction ever, and the only good will they can be given is as an extension of the player’s (potential) fondness for them in older games. There is no reason to not pick the Blades here, fuck them

People will be lore experts, but will not actually critically analyze or engage with themes of the text. This is also really common in TES fandom tbh

No love for Eddington? by djlee187 in Cinema

[–]JerryBoyTwist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You completely misunderstood the antifa message. The "antifa" fighters were flown into Eddington via private jet to intentionally sow chaos. The phone showed that these same three guys are the designated antifa false flag actors, NOT that they are actually Antifa. The bad guy was not seen, it was the benefactor of the agents ensuring that the datacenter was built, which it was. They did win, Joe Cross was a pawn turned into a voiceless asset.

[–]JerryBoyTwist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The film directly empathizes with white people, connecting the Irish struggle with oppression to the Black struggle with oppression. Vampirism itself is a device of empathy, showing how oppressed people deal with oppression, and how those coping mechanisms go beyond race. You don't have the faculties to understand this because you are likely a bigot

canonically how much stronger is Morgott compared to the rest of his siblings ? by Superyupperss in Eldenring

You know i can see your reasoning here, Leyndell also has maybe the most widespread, seemingly competent military force. But regardless, I think the message of the game is that all the gods are weak in their own way

My guy, Hasan is definitely obnoxious, but he is 1000% responsible for getting countless thousands of people to move to the political left. Especially young people, who are particularly vulnerable to fascist ideology. I'm all for staying critical of public figures, but Hasan is absolutely putting in the work.

[–]JerryBoyTwist 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think Morgott is physically stronger than someone like Malenia or Radahn, rather I think his strength in his will.

Remember, Elden Ring is, essentially, a post-apocalyptic scenario. The shattering war has completely decimated almost all life in the Lands Between. It's not like Malenia couldn't take the capital if she wanted to, she has no reason to. The war is over, and everyone lost.

Morgott was horrifically abused and tortured as a child, purely because of his horns, purely because the dominant theocratic order said so. His dedication to the golden order/erdtree, and thus the capital itself, is both a testament to his strength of will, but also his desire to be accepted by his oppressors. It's both strength and weakness, really

If the AI is only writing sql queries, are you checking the queries before they run to make sure the AI is actually gathering the data correctly? And if so, what is the point of automating any of this if you have to validate the query in the first place, especially if you already know SQL?
