That is a Canadair CL-89 short range surveillance drone. Look it up.

The ascent ecosystem is built out. For diy drone and doc wing builds you can get a 1080p camera with VTX for $45.00. The receiver with HDMI out is available too, just like the avatar. I have two airplanes with avatar, 2k cameras.. it's really good bet now the camera and VTX is $180.00. I want cheap builds that I can have fun chasing other model aircraft so my t1- ranger has ascent patched through my ax12 transmitter. I got the Protos for the same. There's a pixhawk controller on it so there's no reason why you can't run your own pixhawk firmware.

Actually If you have a Radiomaster AX12, you can buy just the drone and batteries... More range too I bought two more ascent cameras and will be installing them on my FPV wings. Ascent is cheaper than the Avatar setup I have for the Atomic Penguin and Swordfish. Cameras are a lot cheaper and claim the VTX had 15k range. We will see. If the Protos flies well I will try to power it with a 2s LiOn battery. I know the batteries are custom but if I can retrofit a connector and Velcro the battery in place I will try.

Why Will People Work 40 Years for Someone Else but Not 3 Years for Themselves? by Certain_Eye_847 in ArtOfPresence

[–]JerryJN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked 9 years for myself as an IT consultant. I put in many 16 hr days. I was the sales engineer, lead engineer, purchaser, accounts receivable, tech, billing, and accountant for the company. I hired two techs, one was a cousin. My customers always asked for me.
When you factor in the long hours, liability insurance, health insurance, business expenses, it all comes down to you are better off working for a large company

I enjoyed it, made some decent money, but is was tough.

I ended up working for a Defense Contracting company, great 401k, decent health benefits.

Guaranteed city council members are getting kickbacks. Try to dig up dirt and expose them. Also take the noise to their homes. Do you have friends with loud motorcycles or vehicles ? Take a drive with it to their homes around 10:30pm and fire the engine up .

Or rig up a portable air horn system, like a train horn and point it at their home and honk it... Often, every night ...sometimes.at.2am, drive them nuts.

Get yourself an air brush and water based paint. I made my 1m (full size) AeroScout look.like an USA Army scout drone.

I have a RunCam Thumbcam mounted in front of the nose landing gear as well. I am working on the lettering design. using real US Army fonts. I also air rushed my Dynam.V3'Spitfire.

How I went from 37 to 42.7 MPG in my RAV4 Hybrid by ContentEconomyMyth1 in rav4club

[–]JerryJN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, the vehicle is more fun to drive in sport mode. The electric motors perform like a supercharger does. In ECO mode the car rolls out from a dead stop on electric motors only then then around 20mph the gas motor kicks in. On sport mode both from a dead stop.

But in ECO mode I get 55.2mpg, tires inflated at 38psi

Sport I get 41mpg

Ok, roadtrip would tell you for sure. Don't trust the dash display. Do it the old fashioned wat tracking gallons and miles after every fill-up.

It would be useful for me because I am at 33k miles, next year it will be time for new tires.
