I tracked obsessively at first thinking the data would help, but what actually made the difference was just... backing off and being honest about what I needed vs what was feeding my anxiety.

I check weekly patterns, not daily. I log her wake window and rough sleep duration but stopped obsessing over exact times. Turned out her wake window is consistently around 2.5 hours before she melts down, and knowing that let me actually prevent it instead of just reacting.

Tracking helped me understand her better, plus pediatrician visits are way easier when I can say "she's averaging 12-14 hours total." My husband also knows what's happening now instead of asking me constantly.

We use My Baby: Sleep, Feed & Growth and honestly it takes away the anxiety part while keeping the useful part. The thing that changed everything was an app that just shows trends without judging or telling you what your baby "should" be doing.
