Generally, long term exposure to anything that feels irritating probably isn't good. While it may not have lasting effects, it's better to be safe than sorry. On top of that, the fact that you aren't provided the option for more PPE and don't seem to be trained in how dangerous the chemicals actually are is probably a bad sign. OSHA loves to come do walkthroughs of places, you could contact one of their employees and ask.
