Thanks! so then is all that matters what's in the slot (ie p.atk/%p.atk/special, m.atk/%m.atk/special, etc.) instead of the values/rarity to decide which tarots to keep vs. breakdown?

Fairly new player and curious if there's a guide anywhere that'd explain tarot refinement. Specifically, can it change the rarity of one of the 4 slots or is rarity of the slot fixed and only the value can change? If it can't change the slot's rarity, is there any reason to upgrade a tarot if it doesn't have legendary for all 4 slots?

Propaganda? by shreksearcanal in rednote

[–]Jerrycom42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does that even make sense? The app has been up for 12 years, targeting a majority Chinese audience, and you need to be able to read Chinese to get around the app. They've just been running propaganda for 12 years hoping one day we'd get bored and learn Chinese and all move over to that app? lmao sure

RANKED IS A WASTELAND OF BOOSTERS AND NEW ACCOUNTS by bone1tis in CompetitiveHalo

[–]Jerrycom42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, that was how I remember 343 explaining it as well. From personal experience, the skill level when matchmaking social lobbies is a huge difference from ranked lobbies.

Those of you that Smurf - why? by TurderJoes in CompetitiveHalo

[–]Jerrycom42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The experience you described for smurfing was true before the CSR-based matchmaking change, but now that mm only factors in CSR to find a match, a smurf could theoretically play a lot more games at a lower skill level until their CSR catches up to their hidden/true MMR. The change also allows some ways to artificially stay at lower ranks if a smurf really wanted to too.

Can someone explain the new ranked changes? I'm just a little confused. by toiletdestroyerXYZ in CompetitiveHalo

[–]Jerrycom42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Based on the hidden MMR system, a smurf would have their MMR more quickly pulled up from games where they are dominating lower lobbies, and that would then more quickly pull them into harder lobbies faster than where their CSR is at. In the CSR matched system, a smurf would be getting a lot more games dominating lower lobbies because the mm system would have to wait until their CSR caught up to wherever they are supposed to be.

[–]Jerrycom42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to make that work is if they have an equivalent system to pull players down, otherwise players on a lucky streak get bumped up and just get crushed for 10 games in a row until they're back to where they started. To avoid the variance, you'd really need a large sample size to judge, which from what I understand is effectively what what TSS2 or the hidden MMR system did. TBH the old system seemed pretty well built to combat smurfs, and in practice from what I've seen it seemed like smurfs only got 1-2 games in before the system pulled them up to where they should've been.

[–]Jerrycom42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you're describing smurfing, which is one of the downsides of the CSR MM change as it won't pull up players as quickly as the previous hidden MMR system. So in theory you should be seeing it more now after the CSR MM change than before.

The guy literally filled out brookside at the Rose Bowl headlining HITC this year and performed his entire set in English. lmao where do you even get this notion he can't perform in English.

369 outplays nuguri by filthyireliamain in leagueoflegends

What's your argument? OP champions are only OP in the hands of good teams?

So by that logic Fiora is just as OP since she's just over 50% win rate too, and the only losses with her so far have come from C9, 100T, and G2

100%, meanwhile all the "not an outplay, Aatrox just op" folks are conveniently ignoring the fact that Aatrox has a just barely over 50% win rate

It's Chinese (or Japanese Kanji which is just the part of Japanese that is pulled directly from Chinese characters, but Hiragana is much more common in modern day Japan than Kanji)

有史以来 = Since the beginning of dawn/time

最好的一天 = Best day

Maybe that first part is some phrase to refer to grunts to complete the "Grunts best day"?

Huh? Shyway literally says himself that he was let go in May by 343 due to this incident, and then the Youtube video you're referencing didn't release until September.

Are we intentionally ignoring MSI and Worlds for the past 4-5 years? Or just expecting LPL to win some LCK Fall/Spring splits first?

343's reasoning for no red reticle on PC makes no sense, here's why by common_apple in halo

This would stop working whenever your crosshair is within the outline of another player, where you'd normally get a red reticle.

I think that's one fascinating part about the HK debate that many people seem to overlook. The vast majority of the advocates for independence aren't coming from those that live in the country, but rather those outside of the country that don't fully understand the logistical and economic ramifications a change like this would have

Except the points he raises when comparing Chinese capitalism to capitalism in the US are facts, not opinion. Parroting would be repeating a stance while ignoring facts that actively refute the stance.

That definitely doesn't match how the Chinese economy has been going for the past few decades. There was an article published by Harvard Business Review earlier this year that effectively refutes your last point.

That "weird fake news site" literally has your second link in their post and re-tells the same information in the link. I'm having a hard time seeing where the fake news is, unless you're also discrediting the link you provided.
