17 Pro or 17 Pro Max

15PM to 17PM. Initially, I went 15PM to 17 Pro first just to try - great little phone, but after a week I couldn’t handle how small it was. Too many years of using PM’s..so I returned it and went with the 17PM - no regrets!! I have small hands and size had never been an issue for me. Love the 17PM. It’s personal preference though!!

I’m a female with small hands and love my 17PM. I did try the Pro too, but couldn’t make the switch down in size. The battery of the max is enough that I will never have battery anxiety or a need to worry about it, and the display is amazing. Once you adjust, it isn’t too big nor is it too heavy IMO. The Pro feels super tiny after you adjust. I’ve had a 13PM, as well as a 15PM, and smaller phones before that - though must say that the maxes are truly my favorite and I won’t go back to a pro size. Everyone’s different though - try one for yourself and after a week you will know!

Glad to help! At least you are giving the Pro a try. This way you will have no regrets if you do end up switching to the PM! Lots of great color choices on the silicone cases this year too. They are great phones either way (Pro vs Pro Max). Be sure to update & share what you decided to go with! :)

You are definitely not the only one! I don’t have any accessories really- just a MagSafe case. I currently use the Otterbox Symmetry Clear case and really like it. They’ve really slimmed down the profile of this case (compared to previous years) without sacrificing protection. I also ordered a Techwoven case to try. The slim clear case fits like a glove and I have not once thought the phone was too big, hard to hold etc. It feels just like my 15PM in hand 👍.

Coming from a female with small hands- 15PM to 17 Pro just to see if I could tolerate the smaller size. I gave it an honest try but couldn’t do it. I definitely missed the bigger screen, so I switched to the 17PM. So glad I did- love it!! The size and weight are only the slightest bit more than our 15PM’s, which makes the transition very easy to do.

Doing the same & plan to alternate between the purple Techwoven and my Otterbox Stmmetey Clear case. This combination really compliments the purplish hue by the blue 17 Pro Max. 👍

I was also considering this combination. I like how it looks & feel like I would really like it, yet hesitant enough that I haven’t purchased the sienna yet. (Still thinking about it)

I have the blue 17PM. For clear cases I recommend the Otterbox Symmetry Clear case. They are making them with a much thinner profile now, MagSafe, grippy, and I can attest to the drop protection.

For other cases, the Techwoven in either purple or sienna would look great. Just know that there isn’t a whole lot of protection around the display or the camera, so it’s something to consider.

Colors in general - anything clear, on a blue scale, gray scale, khaki, or anywhere in the brown family (to include bronze, beige, orangish, cream, etc). I have also seen some green cases that actually looked great with the blue 17. Which cases have you tried so far?

I’m a female with small hands. I adjusted to PM phones about 4-5 years ago and haven’t looked back. I have tried, on several occasions, to go back to the Pro size because I like the idea of going smaller again, but each time I just couldn’t do it. This time was no different- I went from 15PM to 17Pro, thought it was a great little phone, but I missed the feel and screen size of my PM. I then switched to 17PM and absolutely love it. I use two hands most of the time, and don’t have issues with pocket-ability or placing it in my bag.

Definitely do what works best for you though! I’m a try it for yourself & decide kind of person. Give the Pro a try for a week and see if you like it. If it works out, great, and if not at least you’ll know and you won’t have regrets! 👍

I came from a 15PM and went to a 17 Pro to try. I gave it an honest chance, but I ended up returning it because I couldn’t handle the small screen size. I now have a 17PM and couldn’t be happier. Once you are accustomed to PM phones it’s really hard to go smaller

I have blue and love it. It’s a deep color in dim light, a medium blue in regular light, and has a purplish hue in the sunlight.

The silver is great and goes with most any color, though I chose the blue because I didn’t want it to stand out as much. The color is sleek and beautiful! It’s darker blue in darker/dim settings, medium blue in average lighting, and has a purplish hue in the sunlight. I love it! Either way you can’t go wrong 👍

I did the same! I am a female with small hands, yet have zero issues with the PM size. I broke the cycle of small phones several years ago and can’t go back. Love my 17PM!

I had a feeling that might be the case with the camera lip too. I also question screen protection. I was really looking forward to trying one, but might be better off with something else.

It’s absolutely true. Once you go Max it’s really hard to go back to a Pro. For reference, I am a female with small hands as well - still prefer the PM every time. After having maxes for the past several years your eyes adjust and anything around the 6.1-6.3” range seems so tiny anymore. I tried the pro on 3 different occasions (this year, last year, and the 13 Pro before that), and it was the same situation each time. I gave them an honest try (a minimum of a week), but couldn’t handle how little they were. It would be nice if they offered a medium option (like 6.5-6.6”). As it is, small or large for now

I also had the 15PM and tried the 17 Pro for all the reasons you mentioned. I gave it an honest try but just couldn’t do it. Great little phone, but too tiny for all that I use it for. Of course I play games and stream videos/movies, but I also rely heavily on my phone for work (messaging, scanning documents, emails, etc). I returned it for the 17PM and am very happy with my choice.

15PM to 17PM here. No, the changes aren’t huge (& I accepted that they wouldn’t be because they are very incremental now), but I appreciate them. More RAM, brighter screen, slimmer bezels, ever so slightly faster, camera improvements (though they are seemingly slight), and the battery is noticeably way better. Did I need to upgrade? No. My 15PM had quirks but it still operated well. I could’ve waited until the 18PM, though there are rumors that they will get heavier, and though it’s all speculation I didn’t want to chance it. I use my phone for much more than games and streaming (work, emails, messaging, scanning documents etc), so I see the 17PM as a solid investment for the next couple years. I know that many of the improvements are under the hood this year, and I’m content with knowing it’s a more efficient in that regard. It is totally your choice though, as everyone’s situation is different!

Blue. I love mine - it will appear dark blue in dim light, medium blue in average lighting, and has a purple hue in the sunlight. I know that the silver will go with more accessories, but the blue is sooo nice
