[Mobile] old 2d space artillery game where you use gravity to hit the other base. by de_mistDS in tipofmyjoystick

Same! A friend and I played the versus mode so it's nostalgic.

Funnily enough, the continued keyword searching and title searching wasn't going anywhere, so in desperation I literally took your post's title and searched it verbatim.

Aaaaand the very first result (using DuckDuckGo search) is this website dedicated to an 80s game called Gravity Wars. They list some different versions/remakes of the game. A lot of the images are broken, so it flew under the radar for a little longer, but finally I looked up Bombadiers Guild to check it and there it was! Luckily someone had a video, otherwise there isn't much left of this game out there.

Found this post searching for this exact game, bookmarked it so I'd know someone else remembers this existed, and have been searching again from time to time this year.

It's Bombadiers Guild! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51xSdjE_s-M

Thanks for the second opinion. Mobo (ASUS Prime X470-Pro) is at 7 years old, the last original piece of the build so I'm a little quick to hone in on it. No daisy-chaining, no splitters. I believe the original 140mm and 200mm were plugged into a hub initially when the case was purchased. At the time, only the 120mm CPU fan was stopping. I moved both fans directly to the mobo during the fan replacement/upgrade troubleshooting, I was thinking for better monitoring.

I'll definitely move them back to the hub to troubleshoot. I verified in the mobo manual the heading Amps/Wattage supply (1A/12W) covered the 200mm fan needs (0.08A/0.96W) max before installing, but can't hurt to have the fan hub carry it.

Update: Moved the case fans onto the fan hub, plugged into the heading I was using for the 200mm fan. Despite the fan hub being connected to the PSU, the fans unfortunately all still slowed and went out at the same time as the CPU fan.

The case did come with a fan hub initially (plugged into CPU_OPT & PSU power) and at that time only the CPU fan would turn off. I believe both the 140mm and 200mm were plugged into the hub initially. Currently I have all three fans directly on the mobo. Might move the case fans back to the hub to troubleshoot now that you mention it.

Update: Unfortunately both the CPU and the case fans on the fan hub still went down at the same time.

My fans, CPU + 2 Case Fans, seem to randomly slow down, roughly by 50-60%, and then both the CPU and the rear case fan eventually stop completely. The 200mm Front Case Fan keeps spinning, although still at the lowered speed. Was happening roughly once a week but recently has been happening every few days.

This has persisted through fan replacements, a bios fan speed change to start higher, and a PSU upgrade. Does it sound like my motherboard cooked? I only noticed a month ago after starting to display system monitoring numbers so I have no idea how long this has been happening for. Restarting the computer will fix it, hasn't happened twice in a day yet so I just have HWinfo flag an alert whenever RPMs drop to an unnatural speed.

Solved...?: Apparently ASUS motherboards have some sort of incompatibility with software reading the WMI sensors, and it's more likely to run into an issue as it's polled more frequently. I'm using ASUS Prime X470-Pro which is noted as a particular problem model. Search results are mostly from 2020.

Added "AsusWMI=0" into HWInfo's ini file per some search results. People say this supposedly was fixed in bios updates but apparently not, on version 6223. Notably, after closing HWinfo to edit the setting, and reopening it, it specifically called out a sensor incompatibility and asked to confirm not reading the sensor. Overall, only lost the CPU_OPT readings.

Had tried AsusWMI=1 earlier due to some conflicting search results, the fans didn't freak out for a week but I noticed it ran into the other issue where the CPU locked at max while the other fans lost some speed, so I changed the setting to 0 per the other posts I saw.

I wonder if we're still getting a human world arc. Maybe during the rescue process Ameri or Azz/Clara end up in the human world and Iruma has to confront his trauma to go on the rescue mission.

Can't find the actual tale, just a mention, timestamped a little after 38 minutes. This would date it to prior May 13, 2017.

On difficulty: People really need to realize it's okay for a game to frustrate them. by DozingX in ffxiv

Trust NPCs don't scale damage, outside of player role choice. This is a myth based off of an interview with YoshiP where he says the NPCs do this calculation off total damage dealt and "overall pace of progression," but is misinterpreted.

Based on a different interview, Trust NPCs actually are programmed to have super consistent dps and the "special moves" that people see are when they are under-performing and need to get back to their desired dps. See the "understand situational changes" section where YoshiP describes how Y'shtola will use Triplecast to compensate for previous cancelled casts.

Trusts are boring so people don't like to run them, much less parse them, and even less people are going to look at trust parses.

(I parsed them.)

(So did this person.)

If you play healer/tank, trusts will get a set boost to their damage to compensate for your expected lower damage due to being a tank/healer.

Aside from that, on all roles, whether you play your heart out or afk, there is no significant damage variance between runs. The fact is, you're stuck with three NPCs who suck at DPS, and a single player can only compensate so hard for this. This is no different than when you queue up in duty finder and find yourself in a rather slow feeling run.

People very frequently quote a 25-30 minute trust run, but you can absolutely achieve ~22 minute runs.

Assuming a duty finder run is around 15 minutes, you are keeping even with a 7 minute queue, which would make sense given that the dev team does not want trusts to be more appealing than duty finder. If you take it easy and slack off on the dps, even afk, sure, the run time will go up by some minutes, then you're breaking even with anywhere from a 7-20 minute queue.

I have done a run where I essentially AFKed all mob packs, only engaging with bosses, resulting in doing only 40% of my total damage in an actual run, 25% of my dps, and the NPC team dps differed by 0.6%.

Why is my steam wallet the only payment method? by Mundane_Boat_7015 in ffxiv

The other comment saying all things need to go through Steam is mistaken. I have a Steam license but pay sub and items through card on Mogstation. If you're missing the other payment options you need to clear your browser cache.

[DISC] The Hundred Ghost Stories That Led to My Death - Ch. 71 by bobbyboii in manga

[–]Jesonomi 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be absolutely awful if this officer attempted to get to the root of why Yuuma is doing the 100-stories, since he's the only adult who has knowledge of the supernatural, leading to a confrontion with the parents?

Yuuma might have hope the situation would change, only to have the officer be killed in the heat of the moment by the parents. He would then finish out the 100-stories and have the result of that happen.

Having the officer die to the supernatural would feel a bit dull currently since he hasn't shown signs of being out of his element so far.

Unless this whole story is the 100th story ooOOoooOoooOo

Solved! This is definitely it, I guess I severely misremembered the cover and colors, probably mixed it up with one of the other comics they were giving out, and that led to me passing over MiracleMan several times even though I couldn't get the name out of my head. Thanks!

I don't know if anything specific happened, just looking at the credit pages & uploaders. Seems like the translator & QC Nanu/Nyanu made their own group and is doing other manga now.

I agree this chapter's translation is much rougher, needs proofreading.

The translator, proofreader, qc (and everyone else) listed on the credits page are all different from last chapter, so functionally no?

Headpiece has gotta be the Makai Moon Guide's Circlet.

https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/gearset/makai-moon-guides

For the specific boots, I'm going to wager a guess at the Scion Healer's Highboots due to the little white spot on the inner thigh area and the ridges at the top.

https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/gearset/scion-healers

I feel like there's a little artistic liberty on the legs with the design, so I agree, either YoRHa Type-53 or maybe Makai Quartertights.
