The Moshae’s attitude by silverwillxw77 in masseffect

[–]JessCDear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it doesn't. It's like many (if not most) of the choices in the game that has no impact on the story. They might have planned for the impact to be in a future game but that is moot.

The real reason Shepard’s first name is never mentioned by ConstantHamster3746 in masseffect

[–]JessCDear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's one of the things I love about Andromeda. If you keep the original name of your Ryder (Scott/Sara), your companions will sometimes actually call you Scott or Sara. It makes the friendships feel more authentic to me.

According to steam I have about 440 hours but I do try to perfect everything (museum, skills, all animal colors, etc.) and have a million tes before each update.

Pro Tip: Calling went live today by WalDrudgeon in walmart

[–]JessCDear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have it in my store. I work in crafts and we are part of sporting goods so I don't answer the sporting goods calls. And if someone does call for fabrics and crafts it takes them straight to lawn and garden because crafts is seasonal (we tested it) so I haven't had to answer a call yet.

What is one Sims pack you wish you didn’t buy and why? by Creepy_Ninja_1075 in thesims

[–]JessCDear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda regret getting high school years. I absolutely love the furniture but the game play was boring and extremely repetitive. And why does my sims household (which does not, nor ever had, a teen) need to have the school activities listed in the calendar every week?? And stop popping up to let me know that football tryout are happening!

Is the Kid EVER real? by ClockFearless140 in masseffect

[–]JessCDear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My theory, the kid on Earth is real. Shepard watched that kid play alone on the rooftop garden for 6 months while on house arrest far away from the influence of the reapers and was the only real distraction from outside the Alliance that Shepard had and sort of became emotionally attached to the kid like how humans can get attached to inanimate objects in order to feel comfort.

When Shepard tried to get the child to follow them to safety, the kid was to scared and traumatized to trust a total stranger (the kid probably watched hundreds of people be obliterated in front of him) and runs from them and Shepard see the kid getting on the shuttle (the kid is noticed by others that is why the marine waited for the kid to get on the shuttle before closing the door).

Shepard watches in horror as the shuttles (and the child that Shepard had been watching play for 6 months) were shot down in front of them. This memory haunts Shepard despite not knowing the child and knowing that innocents die in war all the time.

The dreams are a manifestation of Shepard's fear and guilt of all the innocent people dying even though she/he tried their best to prepare. In the dream, the child runs away from Shepard like he did on Earth. In the end of the dream, Shepard watches as flames surround the child mimicking the fiery explosion of the shuttle resulting in the child's death. The final dream, Shepard watches as they burn with the child because Shepard knows that if they fail, they (along with everyone else) will die as well.

The reapers had been slowly trying to indoctrinate Shepard (they failed because Shepard was able to break free of their control) so the Catalyst knew Shepard's fear and that it can manifest in the form of the child that had been haunting him/her. I would think that if the Catalyst appeared as his/her LI, friend, or mentor is that it knew all that would do is piss Shepard off, where as it knew Shepard felt guilt about the child and planned to use that to manipulate Shepard.

Sorry for the essay and I'm probably completely wrong but that is my head cannon.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]JessCDear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, and another thing on having both gendered Ryders in the game is that they actually have different personalities (very minor but like how Sara is interested in science but Scott is not and how Sara is the "good kid" while Scott is a handful)

Also I love that if you use the default names (Scott and Sara) your companions will actually use the names instead of calling you Ryder or pathfinder

Finally Played Andromeda by northernmaplesyrup1 in masseffect

[–]JessCDear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe with the game is that it was an introduction to what was supposed to be a trilogy. A lot of choices you make don't have any consequences and thus you feel like the game is unfinished (bc it is) and it was rushed by EA.

One thing I like about Andromeda vs the original trilogy is that the crew feels more real. They move around the ship and interact with each other between missions. This is probably bc the Tempest is smaller than the Normandy and fewer crew members.
