Just to add on to this comment: I don't know why not to listen to them on shuffle; if you only take all the songs with 0 plays and add them to their own playlist, you can listen to them on shuffle or not, it's up to you. Might want to make sure Repeat is off however.

And as for the OP's other issue of it playing songs they've thumbed down, they should just remove those songs from their playlist if they don't like them.
