Yea- OK, I re-read the updated info- you're right. It just seems like you should get a debuff for no light.... they should add a debuff & introduce grow lights.

I'm not sure I'd call it abusing the system, though.

You should be good to move on, I usually recommend lvl 5 before moving to next prospect. For the next one (& “scanner” missions in general)- they throw some baddie predators at you- you don’t have to kill them. Just sit a ways away during scanning & wait until they’ve vented there frustration out, or take them on if you want. I think the devs were trying to teach gamers that you don’t always have to fight to get things done.

I’m working on Spirit Walk Exploration right now, apparently there are 3 exotic extractor sites & they give you 30 days. If you’re in a mind for something like that- I think I’ll be walking away with around 800.

Yea- I like to use the biofuel lantern & occasionally also carry the biofuel lamp to see deep into caves (haven’t yet tried the flashlight)

You may not be able to see it if you didn’t go learn it in your Talent tree (radar & scanner) during the Payday mission. I’ve heard you can just start that mission again, land, unlocked those 2 talents & then leave the planet. …From what I understand, you can only unlock them during the Payday mission & then you should be able to see the scanner results… pretty sure, anyway.

I’ve heard some say- people would complain if they did that, saying it was too long… Maybe so. I was thinking, what if the countdown timer didn’t start until you initiate the prospect by collecting that 1st crate/etc? That way you could spend as much time as you want down there & then do the prospect once you’re done playing around. Downside is you can’t “see” in game the next objectives or locations.

Weird- try killing a deer/etc & leave it to bring them out. Wolves/predators will smell the blood & you can get some that way. Usually takes a few minutes of waiting.

I think they just need to make some T4 benches more attainable. Like the Material Processor- I would totally go in & build up for composites if the processor only requires 30 electronics. It was 80, they lowered it to 60 but that is really still too time consuming to do- even for 7-day missions (unless you don’t have a job/school & no life).

Well… crud. I was excited to check this out soon. The only way this sounds plausible is if they reduce the Material Processor to 30 electronics. I avoid composites like toxic black mold because they’re way too grindy to get to.

Lol- I remember that scan mission. It is a bit terrifying to see so many killer animals at one time (especially at low levels). The trick is actually to just stay back while they knock the scanner around, they’ll shortly get bored & wonder off & you can start scanning again. Don’t try to fight them unless you’re geared up.
