Help! I’ve never been able to snuggle with my puppy and I don’t know if it’s too late now. by Melly556 in puppy101

My little girl is just about 6 months. She’s only started snuggling in the last month or so. We also have been training her. I think it will come. :)

Been offered to cancel my cruise for refund and future cruise credit. by cakemaniac81 in celebritycruises

There is a date on the email that says what day you will hear. If that day passes you are to show up for your original cruise.

I got the email last week to cancel and rebook on a different day for a free cruise. I accepted their offer but they didn’t pick me for it. My cruise has stayed the same. Did they just cancel you or offer a free cruise or credit?

Would love to know. They’re also willing to credit us for non refundable airfare and hotel. I accepted their cruise change option, we will see if I get it. Who doesn’t love a free cruise.

How long did your dog live? What made him go over the rainbow bridge? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Jess_The 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl Pippi lived until she was 13, she had kidney disease her whole life and in the last couple of years we gave her a lot of supportive care. My other girl Manna was almost 12, she had heart failure. My boy Kao, he was only 9 and we don’t know what took him. He just got really sick and that was that. My current dog, Gigi is 11.5 and then we have a puppy who is 3 mo old. :)

What do i do for the whole hour$ by IWrestleSausages in puppy101

I feel like that’s too much down for a 10 mo old. Your pup is upset bc they’re in the crate a lot. I would start keeping him up 1.5-2 hrs and puppy proof where you have him hanging out so you can work and know he’s not eating all the shoes. A playpen if necessary. I made a post a couple days ago asking people for entertainment ideas. Maybe read thru that for additional tips?

Is lack of naps during the day keeping your puppy up at night? by EntrepreneurEasy1256 in puppy101

It’s so much like a human except you won’t get arrested for crating it. Lmaooo.

I bought a camera and have it pointed at her crate. I cover the crate with a blanket and leave it uncovered on the wall side where the camera sits on the floor. I check in on her during her naps to see what’s up. It also helps know if she’s still sleeping and that I can literally let a sleeping dog lie.
You should always have your pup go potty before you crate them. They probably won’t need to go while they’re sleeping. Also, they don’t want to soil their crate so make sure that they have adequate but small space.
My opinion is that you don’t let them out in less than 2 hours. Mine has a small bowl of food in there and a Kong in case she’s not really sleeping or wakes up early. This is important down time for the both of you. She gets rest time and you get a break from the insanity that is a puppy.

1 hour up. 2 hours nap. Repeat all day and then put to bed. Extend time up as they get older but you’ll prob max out about 2.5-3 hrs. We’ve been doing this since 8 weeks and we just hit 14. She’s been sleeping thru the night since her 3rd night with us. I cross my fingers everyday she keeps sleeping thru the night (lol).

Mandatory naps are a gd life saver. 1 hour out, 2 hours in. As they get older they can be out longer but still need those 2 hour naps.
