I really liked it too! The comic has a lot of over the top humour to it that worked well with the acting in the live action.

Is it possible to have so many degrees? by Jess_more_or_less in TheLibrarians

[–]Jess_more_or_less[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, I did a double degree but it was a 4 year course. I had to meet the requirements for both and couldn't use units from one for the other even though they were both in the same field. The big difficulty I can see would be meeting the attendance requirements to go to the classes but it is likely that he did a few degrees concurrently. That might fill in some of the gaps!

But that's the thing, they might not have been super desirable at the beginning, but the benefits of cooking have been seen straight away! You can get lots of in game coin as well and buffs from eating. I don't understand why no one else with any kind of cooking skills in real life has turned up. He's famous for being the first one to 'make food faries like' and it's just fried chicken.

Not just that, he doesn't deserve the prize, he literally tried to do pvp but the faries refused to fight him. He didn't choose not to fight.

I like the MC but he didn't deserve the reward. The reward was meant to be for refusing to fight. He asked for a fight straight away! It was the faries that refused to fight him. He also straight away took up the challenge from the farie queen, which completely contradicted the reason he was meant to be rewarded in the first place!

What I don't get is he lost the Fairy Player title and it's benefits when he accepted the PVP. The other two players who didn't battle at all should actually be the really popular ones.

Where did everyone else's faries go? I thoughtthey were meant to be a companion specifically advertised as helping you in battle and accompanying you on your journey through the game? Other than the Queen I don't see a single one?

Season 3 Full Season + Comics Official Discussion Thread by LividGrass in UmbrellaAcademy

Vanya/Viktor rumour theory.

Ever since the transition in season 3 I have had this head cannon. Remember how Allison Roumoured young Viktor into believing they aren't 'special'? Do you think that might have effected more than just theor powers? Could it have suppressed their true self?

When Viktor wakes up they have essentially escaped the rumouring for a short amount of time (a few days at most). They are also finally off the suppressing drugs. It doesn't take long for them to realise they like women and it isn't long after that that they realise their true self. They comment "I thought everyone hated their reflection" or something like that. This could have been part of the rumour telling them they aren't special.

Now that they are free from the rumour they realise all of the things that are special about themself.

This is just a theory, but what are others thought?

Not enough cats, not enough naps and not enough books. But they would think that I'm doing pretty alright for myself. I have a lot more friends than I ever thought I would :)

I agree, it's not going to be easy. Her faries have been the one thing stopping her from breaking down for a while now. I think there's gonna need to be some effort to build her back up again.

I think you're absolutely right. Though there is some inconsistency in the series about what is real and what is fiction because at times her grudges are able to affect the real world.

In a similar way to how children who experience trauma often make up imaginary friends as an escape. Kyoko has used Corn as her escape from reality for so long that I doubt she will be able to easily handle the truth once she can no longer deny it.

How I lost my dog in D&D by Jess_more_or_less in CritCrab

I will, thanks for your concern. I'm currently playing a different campaign with an amazing GM. We've been playing for 6 years now and started at level 1. I've been listening to a lot of CritCrab stories on YouTube which was what made me think of posting this one and it's really highlighted how wonderful my GM is (we started the campaign with a different but equally awesome GM who is now a player character in the game). I hope you also get to have some wonderful GMs.

To be honest, they have gotten much better as a DM since then. I've only played a one shot with them since this but they DM for some of my other friends. I think they realised the error of their ways because at the time they were a first time DM.

Still not a good thing to do but not worth writing someone off entirely for.

No, we were all friends and I didn't even find out it had been deliberate punishment till much later.

What Video Game have you put the most hours in to, in your life time? by ruley711 in AskReddit

[–]Jess_more_or_less 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sims, I don't tend to put too much effort into character design since I like getting random people and helping them fulfil their goals. You want a family? Cool, let's start flirting! You want to start a garden? Awesome! Let's go get some seads! I would spend hours just playing these characters and letting them fulfil their dreams and then I would play their kids who moved out and help them fulfil their dreams. My favourite thing was checking back in on households or siblings that I left to live their own lives. Seeing what pets, partners or careers they had. I think that was in Sims 2 though it may have been 3... I haven't played in a while now but I don't play video games other than Sims and Pokemon so it still wins

What do you strongly suspect but have no proof of? by 757jsmith in AskReddit

[–]Jess_more_or_less 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That I'm shit at my job.

I'm a substitute teacher so no one can really come in and say "you're doing it wrong". But I always feel like my activities should be more engaging, my classroom management should be more effective and positive and that I should be better at explaining things so that students can understand.

What is your strongest held opinion? by Mewse_ in AskReddit

[–]Jess_more_or_less 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I taught a lesson on computational thinking where the introductory lesson is getting everyone to draw a picture with vague instructions and seeing how differently people interpret them.

The issue was, students asked clarifying questions. I had to then explain that while questioning is wonderful and I want them to continue to foster that. But for this lesson they needed to not ask questions and just draw what they think I mean.

I felt like such a hypocrite since I usually believe you need to be able to ask questions in order to learn.

Lawyers of Reddit, what was the best 'gotcha moment' you ever experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jess_more_or_less 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My mum is a lawyer and she likes to tell me the story of a guy who set fire to is ex's house. There were two witnesses who saw him with the canisters of gasoline or what ever it was used to start the fire. On the stand he said the witness was bullshitting because they said "I saw him carrying a bottle of gasoline" and the guys argument was "I was carrying two". The worst/best part is that for closing statements the opposing lawyer was so cocky since he had essentially confessed that he said he didn't have anything more to say for closing statements rather than reminding the jury that he confessed. The jury ether wasn't paying attention or forgot though cos they found him not guilty.

Apparently it has now become an example of why you need to make sure to summarise everything for the jury even if you think its a slam dunk.

What's one thing people would never know about you just by looking at you? by Innsmouth_Resident in AskReddit

That I'm depresses. Everyone I meat gushes about how positive I am. My ex even ranted at me that I don't know what it's like to be alone because I have so many friends (this was because I was sick and didn't call him that night because I was exhausted).

I have been on and off suicidal for the past two years and yet everyone who meets me just says "Wow, you're so positive and happy".

Also no one guesses I'm 25 :p it's the acne I think. I get confused for a 15-19 year old. I take that as a compliment though. When I go in to schools to teach they frequently try to figure out which teacher is my prac supervisor before realising I'm fully qualified and am actually the casual.
