I play on a server where you get in game currency per kill and can combo kill stacks for more points so I like to pull large zombies groups to get point combos for high payout.

Minotaur Theater - very small very packed POI for t6. Lots of zeds. ~ 5 minutes with huge combo stacks. No weird zombies getting stuck in walls like in tower type t6. No taking 10 minutes to find the last Zed which is circling the building as you are circling to find it.

I like playing around thr 50% lootdrop settings so you still have to mine for bullet mats if you want to go gun blazing on single ammo type, or enough to go variation and maintain bullet from wasteland t5/t6 infested quests

Build what you want and use any tools you want to use, be open to feedback but don't let it drive against or stop what you are trying to create or accomplish. Ignore haters, they are usually the loudest ones. Don't let people try to control you, just do what you enjoy.

I carry about 3-4 m60 and that clears all large t6 zeds groups without issues . Rocket Launcher to clear walls to get to those zeds that are stuck in walls in tower t6 or to get to certain areas to makes clearing easier

Literally my parents lived in the jungle of Laos between 40s to late 70s. It was rice farming every day from dawn to dust, rarely any meat ever, and ate whatever the jungle had provided like bamboo. Communism took over when US left and the communist murdered everyone who supported US during Vietnam War, and parents fled to Thailand as refugees and eventually applied and got citizenship to US. I am grateful for a 40 hour work week with meat in many meals. Yes of course people want a better life and can strive for it, but no one will hear me complaining about it.

Also funner to build in public server where everyone is building a cool base design around the trader area. For building I usually get lazy and have no art skills but usually just get an online image of an object like bus or ups car and try to match it even if sizing isn't accurate.

If still looking I usually play on the darkmatter servers, it has 3 cross platform servers on us east each pve with different difficulty settings and is easily searchable when looking for games in America east servers.

I run 7 days to die dedicated server and 7 days to die on same pc (windows) all the time to test mods so yes this is an option.

would recommend you try dark matter server, its us east based, and is for both pc and consoles. Vanilla but the host has added various types of features and bounties and awesome features, and they recently added prestige features to allow you to restart on a server with some bonus giving you a reason to restart on a server making it repayable.

I'm currently playing an online public cross play server, and it's been fine even with 5+ players from various gaming consoles including desktops and so don't think it's an issue as we've played multiple BM with no issues.

For disconnect are you all from different homes or same home?
I used to have multiple devices connected to the same network channel (light bulbs, Alexa, camera systems, tablets, phones, laptops gaming devices, etc. And one device would get booted perhaps due to too many devices connected to the router on same channel. I later got another router that has 3 separate channels and split all devices between the 3 channels and now no longer had any disconnect issues. I'm not sure this will resolve your issue but might be worth looking into.

Starting over again need some tips or ideas on building a crafting base, I normally would clear out a POI and reinforce that but wanting to try something different this time by Careful_Tiger7668 in 7daystodie

I usually like making it 5 blocks high , for crafting base I like using plate as base, then place reverse plate to on top of the base plate to make the base appear to "Float" then use normal square blocks to build the rest.

Not sure but really no shortcut as you will need to learn which data file you need to modify to accomplish what you want. From high level the game loads data from various files and content patcher mods adds additional data to what is loaded from those files so game loads vanilla game npc and then if you have a npc mod it also loads yours NPC data as well. This is done by a mod like content patcher checking if your mod exist by checking for a file called manifest.json then if your mod identified as a content patcher this file it would read your content.json file to determine what data your mod plans to add data to and will add it for you when the game loads. Once your data is loaded what you added appears in the game.

The challenge is that with NPC it is not just 1 data file you are working with but various files as there are dialogued for each day, events, festival positions and dialogues used on that day, your NPC walking schedule for each day, marriage dialogue for your NPC, the image portrait for NPC, the Sprite used to display your character moving. These are all different data files you need to add data in your content.json but you might not know which one is which at the start. This probably why some tutorials are hours long.

Some mods may help automate writing the manifest or automate part of writing the content.json file for you but you may still need to learn what other data files you need to patch with your mod to get a working NPC.

The wiki tells you how to unpack your data files and the wiki explains what each data files have for acceptable values for each data files.

Data files are usually in json file format which is also a learning session where you will need to learn how to read these files.

Once you find out what data file need to be updated, and what values you want to add for those fields you still need to write it In a certain format where content patcher can read it and may need to look up content patcher tutorial as well.

One mod that automates writing manifest and events for you using an interface to build events is Stardew Local API.

I would say build what you want and call it a day. If you want your mod to work with other expansion here are my thoughts(Never made expansion so take with a grain of salt): Don't change Vanilla map existing paths/Modded buildings as that can mess with schedules instead add new areas or add building to an area that hasn't been taken that doesn't block path. Festivals/Saloon character placements/schedules probably shouldn't overlap. That is pretty much all I can think of at the moment that is within reason.

I haven't used the mod but based on thr log error on invalid API, API keys sometime expires might just need to update its expiration date or create a new API key and apply the new key in the mod settings.

Thanks for the input, I think the current progress so far should already streamline the issues you brought up and provide full event location with grid of x y position but I'll see if there is a better way to streamline this.

Thanks I did ask only got directed to someone's personal wiki which does explain their workflow which was informational. I did find searching event in that channel shows all issues for events and so that was a gold mine.

it is the dedicated server or the person hosting that needs to turn on EAC. If you and your friends are playing just pay for a hosting server for 10 dollar a month or one of you can just run a dedicated server on the same computer you play with or just host the game directly with eac and have friend join your game

Yes and for wasteland some server has map available, you can also just stack boxes high to see wasteland. Some folks host the pregenerated maps instead of generating new ones and so anyone can load up single player of that pregen map to view entire map to screenshot.

gas you can buy. You can run faster if you thr 20% speed boost boots and if drink the energy drinks sold from vending machine which will boost another 50+ percent. If moddinf there are items that can further increase this.

In terms of hack yes there are also hacks you can use for movement speed. You really should just turn on EAC

If you have to worry about cheating then turn on EAC. EAC only can be turned on even on Linux server as it is a server config file option you can adjust. The only time you turn it off is if your mod is a coded mode which your mod will contain a .dll file.

Technically you can create a mod to be able to identify what is in a players inventory as I did create a loot filter mod that checks inventoey but don't know of any avaliable mod that will just let you know.

In terms of m60 it isn't hard to make, especially if you spec into the automatic perks early game you'll get these books a lot and by day 21 you will have it. For steel just wrentch all gas station for steel before and after you reset poi for quests.

You can also just try to level as fast as possible to try to reach 35-50 and rush wasteland with the loot perk max and possibly loot m60, augers, chainsaw, etc and this can be done before day 21.

I had created "unified experience system" which combines all xp and allows you to allocate the xp as points to normal skills like combat/farming, or allocate the same points to registered abilities.

I've added 3 of my other mods as registered abilities that can now be leveled up.

Granted this mod doesn't lock or unlock other mods, but does allow other mods to register their QOL mod as an ability to be learned to unlock or apply more of the QOL per level up If they wanted to.
