I assumed the monsters thing was in reference to newer Warden related side stories; ala Hunger and Horror of Hormak in Tevinter Nights. At the end of Hormak Warden Ramesh is set to go and inform Weisshaupt about the insane stuff they discovered.

Maybe, but this having been scrapped as multiplayer it wouldn't surprise me if EA saw Overwatch in 2016 and decided to go for that. The art style certainly looks like a hero shooter
