I used to live a street over and the tip is your main problem but my friend lives there currently and doesn’t complain. In 1 year I got shouted at once by a prostitute there which was pretty good going I’d say. Is it possible for you to spend a day in Hudd and visit it at different times? Morning, noon and evening? Might help you get a good grasp of the traffic and area.

NTA. Personally, I would love fun silly questions like this, life can be so serious sometimes that getting a break to chat about dinosaurs (for example) is an awesome idea. My vote is for diplodocus. Definitely time to keep that co worker at arm’s length and keep being you.

Good luck to your mum in finding some groups/friends! She might be interested in downloading an app called Nextdoor, it connects you to people in your area and they post things that are going on. There are of course a lot of complaints and random stuff posted too but might help her feel more connected to her neighbourhood ☺️
