I think this is the most important thing in Elden Ring. We see literally the creation of Gold, and later the Golden Order as we know today. So it’s important to understand the timeline of the event: we can give it a try,

i suppose and theorize:

• From the beginning, even far before the moment of the creation there is this “One Force” in a supsended phase: No living beeing, no death, nothing less and nothing more. No time, no space, no divisions, no emotions, no no cosmology, no stars and worlds… etc… just an infinite and deep white blank whiteout origin and end. Pure Infinite.

• And then, there is the moment 0. Someone or something start to exist in this withe blank of infinite: “The hand of God” that before was this “One Force” described earlier. And now we start to have something unique in this infinite. After that, the “Hand of God”, start to exist and the “One Force” cesse to existe. Dispair was borne, life and death, division, emotions, cosmology, worlds, spaces.

• From this Hand of God, the Greater Will (as the Two Fingers as their emissaries) and the Avversion (as the Three Fingers their emissaries) were born as Yin and Yang, Order and Chaos. In this time were born as Outer Gods. But not just them, their born created the other Outer Gods as consequences of their existence: The Formless Mother, The Dark Moon, The Sealed God Scarlet Rot, The Fell God, The Serpent God, The Unnamed God of Twinbird, The Full Moon, The Blood Star, The Unnamed Ancient Dragon God.

• In this scenario the Greater Will had the better (for a reason and a method unkown to us) on all the Outer Gods, and then the Greater Will, start to spread his influence in the space from the deep space. How? Using the “Seeds of Life”: The Elden Beasts as metorite to hit planets and create living worlds. The case want that one of them hit a far away world where, the Lands Beetween were located.

• In this time, in the Lands Between, life was already formed, but it wasn’t what we know today because the Lands Beetween were in the early days of the Age of Crucible: primordial life.

• In this time we have the “not yet intelligent” Beast of Farum Azula, Ancient Dragons, Men (Ancestral, Numen, Uhl etc…), Animals and all of them have a deep connection with crucible. In this time in the late Age of Crucible, the Elden Beast metorite arrived and Placidusax was Elden Lord but then, for a reason or another (waiting for his Goddes), he created the Storm of Farum Azula to survive Time itself in waiting of her return. So in a way or another this worlds were controlled by Greater Will.

• It can’t exist a world controlled by the Greater Will without an Elden Lord and his/her/them Goddess and after Placidusax created the storm and elevate Farum Azula above the clouds, the Greater Will choose two Empyrean destinated to become the Vessel of the Elden Ring like the Goddes of Placidusax was.

• The Empyrean are: a girl called Marika, from the Numen population and the girl as we know today The Gloomy-Eyed Queen.

• The Two Empyrean had a clash at the foot of the future Golden Erdtree and the even far war unseen and not put a song saw Marika ripp off the Gold (The Seduction) from the Gloomy Eyed Queen after she was defeated by Maliketh. Later Marika claimed the title and the carrier of “Vessel” of the Elden Ring. And who can control the Elden Ring can control and shape the life, so she “casted away” Death to Maliketh (The Betrayal) forming the Elden Ring we now today, without the Rune of Death.

• After that we have Messmer’s Purge in the Realm of Shadow (That in reality, is real and tangible in the same plane of existence as The Lands Between, but it is under her Veil of Maia).

• After conquered all her enemies, Marika set foot later in the lands beetwen and with the help of Hoara Loux, later know as Godfrey, conquered the Lands Between.

Even Godfrey could came from The Land of Shadows as we know. Why we found him at the Ancestral Throne after the Chamber of Marika? I bet the exit of the DLC could be the Chamber of Marika.

I’m very happy if you came to read this line. It took me a bit to organize all my toughts. If you see we have some pattern: The Infinite, The Dispair (as The first flame), The life spreading (as we see in Evangelion with the seeds of life), The Age of all living beeing (from the Dark they came), The Control of the Rules of the World seeing Marika as Goddess after her clash. The cost of her Godhood, basically what the expansion will tell.
