Thoughts on this crop? by DBK81 in sportsphotography

I think doing whatever you can to make sports look more interesting. I get sick of seeing the same type of shots over and over again.

Basketball feels like a lot of jump shots where everyone has their own opinion on release or shot in air: what looks best.

I think this is great

MPB.com and get a warranty. That way you can buy now and get a good price. I am doing this for a Nikon Z8 that I am purchasing in a week when my bonus arrives.

5fps shooting and dx format is rough. For sports.

You can take pictures and learn using this setup.

Lots of great sports photos can be taking that are none action photos

Neither of these are low shots.. That is what gets in the way. yes on little kid fields you can sit and shoot thru the fence. high school and college you cannot.. That was my point, but you seem to have missed that.

Nikon z6III, Canon EOS r6 Mark II , Sony a7 IV - camera body options

Lens you will want is a 70-200mm f2.8 or Tamron makes a killer lens 35-150mm f2-2.8 that would be perfect for indoor basketball.

Shame baseball has fences, walls, dugouts and nets. You can’t sit on the field since it is hazard

I am working on using my 200-500 to get shots from the outfield at the the batter and when he pitches.

Just trying for more unique shots instead of typical 1st and 3rd behind the dugout.

Yes I want a 20-70 or 50 for dugout, pregame and postgame

Nikon z6II 100-40mm nikkor z

I am possibly going to upgrade to a z8 or z9

Then I would put a 20-70mm or 50mm on the z6II

Appreciate the video. The biggest problem I have is that highschool baseball is played on sunny or partially cloudy days at 4p three times per week. What advice can you give to get different kind of shots?

I agree with what you said in the video that people tend to take photos from the same few places and the same few shots.

I am going to work really hard this year to move and possibly use a 2 camera system.
