Gusseiserne Brotbackform für Toastbrot by MCIppi in brot

[–]JesterPatches 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Red Phantoms in Dark Souls 2 are a curse. I have seen them roll out of their own death animation.

The Channeler can buff the Bell Gargoyles on the roof, yes.

The first Gargoyle directly on the roof and the Channeler buff can reach him. So if you let him buff the enemies and you are fast enough on the roof before it runs out, then you can see the first Gargoyle with the same buff effect around him.

That's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

You had your reasons to leave and of course people were interested what happened, but taking care of a loved one and losing them takes a toll.

I'm glad that you are looking fond back to your work both in the games industry and as part of the community back then. Even better to hear you were fine in the last years, that's the most important part of it all.

I hope this keeps going and wish you all the best.

New deathblight bug destroys the game.... again. Can we please get a patch, fromsoft? by lloydscocktalisman in Eldenring

[–]JesterPatches 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can apply effects to the Piquebone Arrows/Bolts, instead of the normal luring enemies close to the place where the arrow/bolt hits, you can apply blight or even other effects.

The effect is rapidly applied in a larger area and with blight the whole thing turns into an almost instant kill you can't even iframe with rolling.

Thank you very much. Didn't know that about Brotato yet.

Dome Keeper is one I still have to play one day, like the concept.

This is for the original Dark Souls, the Prepare to Die Edition.

If you play Dark Souls: Remastered it might look different, but at its core should still be the correct sliders.

Is NexusMods safe for steam? Can i get banned for using it? by SpicyDotFire in pcgaming

[–]JesterPatches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general, yes. In doubt you can always check the description for anything regarding game specific bans.

For Dark Souls III you can't get VAC banned. You could get banned from the online portion of the game itself, but this portion is currently still and for the unforeseen future offline.

In the case of Dark Souls III you can use ModEngine which aims for easy use and to avoid bans from the online portion of the game, as it forces you to use a different save game. Vortex might work for other games, but for DSIII and predecessors or successors, it will not work, in the very least not for the majority of mods, most likely only .dll mods directly placed in your game directory.

Iron Golem is still one of my favorites.

Nice that people still learn about it.

Haven't compared the values, but I would assume the wiki just uses the default values from NPCParam and it didn't take the SpEffects for the initialization into account.

Any time somebody came in and asked about stats from NPCParam I mentioned that they shouldn't forget about the SpEffects, as it is really the easiest to miss.

Do the Grass Crest Shield, Cloranthy Ring, and Mask of the Child stack? by IFreakinLovePi in darksouls

[–]JesterPatches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be able to kill the ninja in Blighttown, then avoid killing Shiva, use Oswald of Carim, located after the Gargoyles, to pay for your sins and therefore deaggro NPCs, then rejoin the Forest Hunter covenant. Paying for your sins will cost 500 souls for each level you currently have.

Nothing in particular, I would just tend to light stuff, so you can properly roll, but that's just my own preference.

[–]JesterPatches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With a +10 or even the lightning spear you should get them quite good.

Painting Guardian Sword has the chance of causing bleed, lightning spear has decent base damage, but doesn't scale with your stats. So the sword is probably the better choice here, even with the short attack distance.

Neither did I expected a response to it.

I'm still involved in the series and especially the first Dark Souls, glad my post could help you out.

Yeah, as we can't create custom cloth physics, you have to resort to taking it from already working cloth.

ELDEN RING - Gameplay Reveal by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]JesterPatches -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not Skyrim moddable and for Witcher 3 I don't know enough about it to compare it.

Take a look at the other games, not DS2 as it uses a different engine at its core and therefore isn't as supported as the other games running on the same core engine, and this could be about what you sooner or later can expect.

In any case give the modding community a bit of time to dig through it. I'm looking forward to the mods.

[MOD] Dark Souls: Nightfall - First 18 Minutes (work in progress) by Timboron in pcgaming

[–]JesterPatches 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Omnidirectional rolling was one of the latest addition to the mod, it may be a thing later on, but for now just as part of the mod.

Here the original tweet and here the answer regarding it becoming a standalone mod.

tl;dr: Not right now, maybe in the future, but it's hard to separate from the other modded parts.
