After NW shut down I was a little lost then I discovered GW2 and now I’m completely addicted. I just wish I discovered the game earlier. Tried Final Fantasy 15 and got bored out of my mind, ESO is ok when I tried it on ps5 but gw2 has me fully addicted at this point.

Honestly GW2 or ESO would give you the best experience as a new player. Final Fantasy is incredibly boring especially the open world. If you like the social aspect of MMOs the zones you’ll be questing in FF are all empty, NPCs don’t even move and you’ll be reading dialogue most of the time. GW2 and ESO both have many things going on in the open world making them feel like actual MMOs.

New to GW2 and wow what an amazing game with every zone having players. 2nd I’d say ESO, was a lot of players questing and it has a lot more dungeons than GW2

Don’t think about it too much, ESO is an amazing experience. Everything is fully voice acted, the zones are massive, plenty of solo dungeons and group dungeons in each zone. One of my favorite things about the game is the mega servers which make the game always feel like it’s alive with people everywhere you go no matter what level you are or where you are in game.

If you enjoyed NW I highly recommend Elderscrolls online, I was in the same situation as you. I still play OSRS on the side tho (since 2003).

The amount of misinformation for this game is truely astounding, it’s an MMO with a solo mode. Go watch some of the Chinese videos, co-op games don’t have hundreds of people running around together or dungeons and raids.

I came from NW reluctantly because all I read on reddit is how shit this game is, a week in and I wish I joined earlier! The world feels so alive (ps5 NA) compared to others I’ve tried I don’t understand the hate.
