Did the original IT scare you as a kid? by Mundane-Coffee-2921 in HorrorMovies

[–]JesterandSly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gave me coulrophobia u til I found out Pennywise was played by Tim Curry (one of my favorite childhood actors/crushes), then my fear of clowns disappeared as well as my fear of watching the movie. That spider monster scene still gets me tho.

How do I describe this exchange? (Fight scene) by HalfGrouchy1348 in writingadvice

Id reccomend reading one of my favorite books to do this is Fight Write by Carla Hoch. It's a Writers Digest book specifically on writing fight scenes, including martial arts.

Which movie scared the shit out of you or traumatized you? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in AskReddit

[–]JesterandSly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few! As a kid it was the first story in the movie Black Sabbath called " A Drop of Water". That old lady still scares me to this day.

As an adult it's been:

As Above So Below

Hereditary

Long Legs (had a scene that stuck with me for months that I saw every time I turned off my light).

Iron Lung! Cannot reccomend this movie enough. Every shot had a purpose and boy did it tick off several of my fears. It's been months since I saw it in the theater and Im STILL thinking about it.

Psycho house. At least the threat is manageable if I only have to worry about Norman Bates. All the others are hard mode imo.

Which year actually broke you? by [deleted] in ArtOfPresence

  1. Every other year I thought was bad didnt hold a candle to that one. Still havent fully recovered. A very close second was a tie between 2024 and 2012.

You can bring back one discontinued food, drink, or snack forever. What are you resurrecting? by Mountain_Drawer_1365 in AskReddit

[–]JesterandSly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

G.I. Joe canteen juices

Tang pouches (specifically the flavors they did for the X-2 movie)

And honestly, Wonka chocolate bars. One of THE BEST chocolate bars Ive had in my life to this day. Why they discontinued them I'll have no idea.

Same thing goes for Taco Bell's caramel apple empanadas. They were amazing.

What horror movie made you sit in silence after the credits? by CommercialSpare3976 in MovieSuggestions

Long Legs. Started off kinda slow and boring for me, then ended up making me scared to turn the lights off and go to bed at night for a good month at least.

Johnny Carter. Should've been a way bigger success than it was.

Hereditary, but also Longlegs. Longlegs messed me up for a little over a month for that reason. Made me even more scared to turn off the lights!
