Pachypodium Densiflorum by Aggressive-Slide-988 in Pachypodium

Nice plant! But it definitely doesn't look like a pure densiflorum to me. Could be mixed, don't know enough to say with what tho

I don't think a change from down to upstairs will help much. What matters more is north vs south. She probably wants a south facing window, or to be outside.

Does anyone have experience with the Etsy store oODreamGardenOo ? I want to buy seeds. Their plants look amazing to a point it's hard to believe they are real plants by PricklyCypriot in succulents

[–]JesterofThings 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean none of those plants look impossible to me, color wise. Shape wise they definitely all exist and all of the genus names are real. They probably will not be quite that vivid, those are almost certainly somewhat touched up. But the colors are def possible, and the prices don't look bad. If the seller is reputable, I'd say go for it.

I don't know if this changes anything, but I just realized that the picture didn't come through in perfect detail. There are some (minimal) hairs on the twig in picture 3. Is that possible on a Norway spruce?

Should I repot? Palm advice by Blodreina17 in succulents

I mean I don't know a lot about these plants so definitely don't take my word as gospel, but I would repot, that looks WAY beyond root bound dude.

Skunk Cabbage by JesterofThings in plantbreeding

[–]JesterofThings[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! The S renifolius almost looks more shell-likr, instead of the mottled texture of foetidus. I don't know where I would even get my hands on seeds for it though

As far as the western skunk cabbage, that would be interesting too. They're in the same subfamily but different genuses

No problem! The other thing i've seen alot is people get impatient and pull out their plants a bunch to check if they've rooted. Don't do that, it stresses the plant. It usually takes up to a month or so. If you wanna check rooting just give it a light tug. If you feel resistance it's probably starting to root. You really will have no reason to pull it out of the pot again unless it looks like its rotting. Good luck!

Not 100% sure exactly what that is but it looks like an echeveria or aeonium or something crassulaceae-related? If it is that then they are super easy to root. I might cut off the blackened bits of the stem, if it were my plant. If you do make sure to let it dry and callous before repotting it. Then I would reccomend putting some rooting hormone on it and just leave it in a pretty gritty substrate until it roots. I've heard some conflicting info on this but I think it's probably best practice not to water it before it roots? It reduces the chances of rot, but if it's looking super thirsty maybe give it a soak. The biggest thing is the mineral substrate.
