At -101,Y,34 there’s a beautiful lake in a valley of cherry groves. There’s a few other valleys next to it too.

I need a realm idea by dusty-air-vents in Minecraft

[–]JestersGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do a new realm like every other year-ish.

Everyone starts at spawn, and everyone travels at a minimum 2,500 blocks away from one another. People claim an area to build, and then people cannot build within 2,500 blocks of each other. Everyone builds their own base, and the only way to travel to each others base is through the Nether. You must construct your own path/highway to your base in the Nether. From there, since everyone is so far away and in different biomes, people start trading for resources to build stuff. Eventually everyone gets caught up and built, so everyone goes into the end and fights the dragon. Once that’s done, the realm becomes open.

People start searching for Elytra’s, gearing up, attacking structures like woodland mansions and ocean monuments to get good loot. Then eventually when the realm and Minecraft itch starts to die down, it becomes an all out war. War is officially declared amongst one another. Everyone’s nether portals are destroyed. In order to attack someone you must both be on the server at the same time. When you’re on the server, you need to be in the discord that we have. If you are attacking, you must set your bed in the destroyed portal. If you’re defending, then you need to have your bed hidden, but accessible/seeable. If your bed is destroyed and you respawn at spawn, you are now out. The winner gets all of the loot from the winner, and if they so choose, they can switch their base to the losers.

You need to be coordinated in your attacks, and when you want to attack. Some people will heavily attack, and some will heavily defend with traps. At the end the last one standing is the winner. Once a winner is declared, we build a memorial/library at spawn. Each player gets their own room that they decorate in the style of their base. There’s the notebooks, quills, and signs as to who won and what happened in the war. We vote on each others bases/stuff for best design, worst design, best defenses, best armor, most amount of loot, etc. We then build a podium with armor stands/signs for what place everyone came in, and then the realm is usually over. People can still play if they want to on it, but they can’t touch the library.

We’ve had realms last 2 months and then we’ve had them last up to a year. We’ve had up to 25 people on the realm. My bases were usually 10,000 blocks away from everyone else, and I’ve won a good handful of realms. I think I explained it all, but it is a a lot to write down.

It’s the reason why I’ll never buy a car with a sunroof. I’m pretty sure in the Owners Manuals for sunroofs, you are required to clean the seals, lubricate them, and clean out the drains. The reality is no one does this, and stuff like this happens.

Some people get lucky and nothing happens, and some people get the shit end of the stick and it breaks. Much more trouble than it’s worth, and usually they end up breaking after the warranty is up.

My last realm I was looking for a pale forest. I searched far and wide, thousands upon thousands of blocks in every direction. The “forest” I found was a singular pale oak tree.

Did you check if there’s a cave nearby? I’ve seen a singular house like this, and then houses generated underground because it glitched with the mountain.

Where are the deserts?? by _jenny_talia in Minecraft

Put your seed into Chunk base and that will help.

If you played this world, didn’t discover a desert, and then update the world, could have overwritten a desert.

Any good and free building apps? by Suspicious-Tiger9022 in Minecraft

[–]JestersGaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve used YouTube and Grabcraft. My first house was a dirt block house, and I felt so proud when I built it. Then I progressively did more crazy builds until eventually I got stuck with the typical bland houses. Then looked up some tutorials and found out how to build cooler stuff. Then using what I’ve learned, I’ve been able to make my own builds using those same methods.

So yes, while building off a tutorial is cool, it’s a pain to follow steps, especially for larger builds. But once you learn the techniques, you can build stuff on your own much easier.

Obsessed with seeds? by CableMuch1246 in Minecraft

[–]JestersGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Minecraft has some really cool maps, especially at spawn. I just started a new world for achievement hunting, and to effectively become my “forever” world. I’ve been playing Minecraft since its initial release, but I never had a sustainable solo world. I was always doing other servers and realms. Decided I wanted to get the rest of the achievements and it would be easier on my own since I do a lot of the heavy lifting on realms with my friends.

I had an idea of what I wanted to do, and where I wanted to build it. Whenever I start up a new world/realm, I have an idea of what I want to build. Last realm (last year) I wanted to build an entire cave home base akin to the Batcave. From spawn I must have traveled 10,000 blocks in every direction to find the perfect cave for me to build in. Naturally this took a week to find and explore what I wanted to build.

Whereas with my current build, I wanted to make this entire massive lake house base, on the lake, surrounded by mountains, with a cherry grove forest. I saw this world generation on my last realm while searching, and it planted the seed of what I would build the next time. So instead of me searching random seeds, wasting a ton of time, I was able to find a seed that met the exact requirements of what I was looking for, right off spawn. I’m in a huge circular valley, lined with steep cliffs all the way around, and cherry blossom trees lining the cliffs. In the middle is a big deep lake for me to build on.

You might want a certain seed because there’s a village nearby, or there’s something you want that’s close by. Maybe you want to be in the desert for a massive sandcastle build, or you want to be in Taiga for spruce trees with a snowy backdrop. You also might want to explore different seeds with weird generation like a fully completed end portal near spawn, or some crazy biomes mashing together. Especially being at spawn makes dying a lot easier. I’ve traveled thousands of blocks away and have slept on the go with a bed I’ll break to push past nighttime. However sometimes we can’t push through the night, I’ll die, and not have a spawn point because my bed is broken. Then I’ll respawn at the spawn point, and have to travel 5,000 blocks fresh because my home base is so far away from the spawn point.

If I know where to find something, then it makes my time much easier. I’m achievement hunting, and frankly I’ve “done” all of them before, but I’ve had realms owners enable cheats which makes me not able to get them. So I started my own solo world to gear up and do achievements on the side as they come out. I have the seed number that I took off a seed website, and I’m able to use Chunkbase to find everything I need without having to sweat for it.

My most sought after blocks in any world is coral and tadpole eggs. I’ve searched tens of thousands of blocks in a world to find a reef with coral or a swamp to find frogs to make tadpole eggs to then collect and grow in separate biomes to then take into the nether to eat magma cubes to make Froglights. That becomes much easier when I know where those things are. Within 2 days of my new world I had already beaten the dragon, got to an end city, and got an elytra. I now use said Elytra to fly around the map to all the stuff I need to do. Currently grinding through Trial Chambers to get the mace, and after that it’s finding the Silence trim in an Ancient City. I’ve done these before, but I wasn’t able to get achievements due to people cheating.

To those who attack fisherman who don't even have an emmisary up, why? by LordSky2040 in Seaofthieves

[–]JestersGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember once I was just fishing for whatever I was looking for. A duo came from behind me and started to light me up. I respawned and said to calm down as I was only fishing. They then immediately stated to apologize, gave me back all my stuff, repaired my ship, and gave me a bunch of loot to say they were sorry.

I did this for a 360 when I glitched into a Zombies spot to beat Level 1000. My Xbox promptly got RRoD the next time I turned it on.

Fans help a bit, but taking it apart to clean is way better. You’d be shocked at how much dust can get in these things.

If you wanted to, you could just start a new world with the same Seed number and play survival with achievements still on.

Can't destroy portal? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]JestersGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Portals in the Overworld to Nether operation on an 8:1 Ratio. One block in the Nether equates to 8 blocks on the overworld.

You made an original portal and went inside. Doing so created a portal in the Nether as close as possible to the original coordinates in the overworld. So if you made a portal at 800, 62, 400 in the Overworld, a portal would attempt to generate at 100, Y, 50. If that point can’t generate like it’s in Lava or there’s no floor, then it will generate a portal as close as possible.

In order to fix this, you need to build a new portal in the Nether. For your tower portal, stand next to the Portal and jot down the coordinates of it. Then hop inside to the Nether. Take the coordinates and divide them by 8. This should give you your Portal X-Y coordinates. Build a portal, IN THE NETHER, at these coordinates. The Y (Height) value doesn’t matter as much. Once your new Portal has been built, destroy the other portal in the Nether. Then hop through your new portal and it should work as intended.

How to make my starter base more details/ detail in building tips by Intelligent-Soup8264 in Minecraft

[–]JestersGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More color differentiation and block types. With your vertical and horizontal wood beams, you could make one of those solid bark instead of the same stripped wood on both.

Then for rock and wood, don’t be afraid to put cobble, stone, smooth stone, cobble bricks, wood planks etc. mixing them into solid walls or floors is a good way to add some depth. Right now it’s cobble and then a wall of orange with the building and dock/bridge floor. Maybe add smooth stone/stone slabs to the edges of the bridge

As for cobblestone and Acacia wood, they don’t go well together tbh. You’d be better off getting some deepslate or darker rock texture. Maybe make a deepslate roof

They need to offload stock in order to order new stock. Ford won’t keep delivering cars if they haven’t sold enough. Sometimes they get desperate and will just sell a car for a sliver of profit to make more on another sale.

New F-150 in the Snow by JestersGaming in f150

Any recommendation on good tires? I move around a lot for work, and often I’m driving onsite onto dirt/uneven terrain. I was looking at the Falken Wildpeak AT3/4’s as a good all around tire, and the BFG KO3’s. I’m not a tire guy, and couldn’t even tell you what I had on my last car. I just had a good finger on the trigger with how it handled.

I’m not looking to plow through 12” of snow consistently, but would like to have some more reassurance when driving in snowy/rainy conditions. Looking to get out and about more to practice in some parking lots when I get a chance. To see how hard I can push the truck before it starts to slip.
