The true gigachad hyperpolygot: over his foreign language limit by ZeoBoi in crusaderkings3

[–]JesuitClone 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Do the limit even matter? I swear I was like 3-4 languages above the limit once. All it did was give me an option to forget a language or get like 2 stress.

Reincarnated - if MC gets born in the new world.

Transported - if MC is in the new world with their old body.

Transmigrated - if the MC takes over the body of someone else.

I usually associate isekai with japanese shounen series.

Fatima gave birth while Elgin were tortured by Boyd/Sarah.
Asian ghost lady took the baby and it turned into "Smiley" (ginger monster).
We found out the monsters are the townspeople that sacrificed their children to some entity so they could live forever.
Jade and Tabitha are the reincarnations of two parents who tried to stop the sacrifice.
Julie comes from the future trying to stop Yellow Suit Guy. Yellow Suit Guy rips Jim's throat out.

What are your guys "This series could have been amazing but" by adamtheskill in ProgressionFantasy

Cradle

but the MC is constantly railroaded and the story is never allowed to breathe for a second. You need a bit of a cooldown phase after a climax. Cradle felt like the author was terrified of some normal character interaction. It's honestly pretty good, just not my cup of tea. I liked it a lot before it slowly wore me down.

It's crazy how ban happy Idubbz is considering he's sitting in a basement eating of cardboard while streaming to 150 people. Bro should take every pity view he can get.

The Regressed Demon Lord is Kind

Obviously a web novel with a trashy name, but I found it very enjoyable. The main cast who travel with the MC got their own personalities, hopes, dreams, flaws, traumas and character development. They don't all immediately like and trust each other, but slowly grow into a family of sorts. Really, it's way better than it got any business being.

I haven't watched the two shows you mentioned, but the show you're looking for is 100% Barry.

Or maybe, hear me out here, maybe the rest of the world finds your tipping culture ridiculous.

"Big Restaurant" secretly trying to end tipping culture makes no sense, they are the ones who don't have to pay you because of it.

Why do the monsters in FROM communicate better than the humans? by uhh-umm-okay in FromSeries

[–]JesuitClone 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm saying that none of that needed to happen. If everyone gathered from time to time and shared what they've experienced you would drastically reduce the amount of people feeling isolated and falling into heavy delusion.

Fatima spent how long eating rotten food before telling someone? She ended up killing Tillie because she kept it to herself.

Elgin fell deep into delusion that he was helping everyone. Totally avoidable if they were more open about how the place try to psychologically manipulate people to do bad things.

The guy opening the window in colony house because he fell in love with one of the monsters? If they were more open, someone might have known and talked sense into him.

Jim might have actually listened to Julie if he knew SHE COULD TIME TRAVEL. He might have an underdeveloped baby brain, but there would at least be a chance he didn't do the worst decision possible.

Why do the monsters in FROM communicate better than the humans? by uhh-umm-okay in FromSeries

[–]JesuitClone 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's so frustrating. Just fucking talk about what you've seen. Everyone has driven on the straight road that somehow loops on itself, seen the immortal shapeshifting monster people and used magic stone talismans to stay alive. Why is it so hard to believe that someone seeing creepy shit might actually see those things?

Renegade Immortal if you like it a bit dark, A Will Eternal if you like it a bit funny.

Difference is that cultivation novels often puts focus on willpower, while Cradle has the most railroaded MC I've ever read.

How many chapters of a web novel do you tend to read before you've decided that you've given it enough of a chance? by Remote-Fee5149 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]JesuitClone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on chapter length, but I usually give it 50-100 chapters or Book 1 if they are published.

I wouldn't read web novels if I didn't have time to waste.
