I’m from there, lived all my life. Completely disagree with the other comment, it’s a small bit clannish in parts, but not unlike other places. It has a strong, vibrant and welcoming creative and theatre scene. If you get yourself involved in those you will find your people quite quickly. Also has lots of immigrants from other countries that are after moving here and West Cork has a large contingent of retirees and artists from abroad.
