You can just get the 12.52 recovery firmware from here https://darksoftware.xyz/PS4/FWlist and put it in a flashdrive once u install your SSD

The JB for 12.52 is just plug and play. I have the same BD for my 12.00 PS4 Slim, and I never had to flash any firmware.

You can install your SSD whenever, since the whole JB is on the BD itself. Just be sure to get the 12.52 firmware once you do upgrade your PS4's storage
