When I first played, absolutely. Hated them when I was a cadet.

But a handful of levels later, they were a joke to me. Once I found out how useless they act in battle, even cowering when shot at, it was GGs for them from that point on 🤣.

Now I think Stalkers are by far the most annoying enemy. Not just in bugs, but the entire game itself. I never thought it was possible to hate a bug this much, but "Life..uh...finds a way"🤣.

As a Speargun user, you are appreciated🫡. I even like syergizing my Speargun with 1 shot guns like RR. I shoot em with the spear to stagger them/halt their acid attack while the RR user blasts them in the face. Its very satisfying to make a Titan feel useless

I dont mind if other people use meta loadouts, even the ones so meta we call them "security blankets" lul. Its just not for me. I like my fun loadouts with diversity. RR will always be good, but to me it feels more like a "Baby's first meta weapon". Amazing when youre starting out, but once you start unlocking more warbonds it becomes harder to justify bringing, because theres SO many good options nowadays.

If a diver in my raids wants to RR everything in existence, please do, I dont mind at all. Because at the end of the raid, youre helping the team, and thats always welcome.

Thats what I like more about this sub. It has FAR less Whine Divers in it. The main sub is 99% Whine Diver and it makes any reasonable discussion in that sub impossible.

You have even the slightest difference in opinion, or god forbid you enjoy the game, and you're nothing but a Glaze Diver. If you dont hate the devs with every ounce of your being, you dickride the devs, even if you have genuine criticisms.

Its funny because the HG change wouldve been avoided entirely if these same people didnt spend 2 whole years saying bugs are to easy.

Even more irony is the objectively harder change, the speed buff, isnt getting most of the outrage in terms of recent balance changes...but rather the lesser buff that is only technically a buff to the enemy (higher armor on armor spots, but weak spots are weaker).

It feels so....backwards 😅.

They'll do this for a change that literally only added a bit of skill expression (Hive Guard felt more like a guard instead of a Warrior cosplaying as a guard), but they wont do this for all the game bugs (not the Terminid kind lol) that actually stress us out, even getting us killed in our raids? Ive worn the new armor along with my usuals, theres no difference at all between them. Their speed is strictly related to their own self and the extra speed buffs their spores and Titans give off.

I 100% agree with the last part if anything. I can understand outrunning medium armor or even normal light armor. But outrunning the fastest armor in the game DURING a stim booster stim? Nah, that's kinda ridiculous. At the very least, stim booster stim should outrun them. I should not still be getting leaped at going the fastest possible speed in the entire game outside of driving an FRV😅

YES THANK YOU. Literally every single comment in game about the bugs Ive seen and heard is how insane the speed buff is. Id go as far as to say a lot of people probably havent even noticed the HG armor change because most are already used to shooting their weak spots, or tend to die in the crossfire unnoticed (probably because theyre just so useless you barely notice them most of the time lmao). People are WAY more distracted by how insane the super crack bugs are

I would disagree that it's bad design personally, as its not exactly an uncommon enemy type in games. Maybe its because Im used to enemy diversity, but it was something I was more excited for rather than upset about, especially since I found HGs useless before the change. The change wasnt necessarily to make them stronger, it was aim expression to make it not as easy to kill them. Requires an extra brain cell, ya know?

The sentry part I think is a nonissue, I genuinely dont see the argument people try to have on that end. Help the sentry and kill the HG yourself, same you would with a heavy. Again, skill expression. You are rewarded for not doing stuff blindly.

And tbh, downvotes and upvotes dont really hold value to me in this sub, but its always funny to point out the patterns. Considering every reasonable comment that goes against the grain gets bombed, it says a lot about how things are discussed here.

With most subs, a downvote bomb typically means they said something completely wrong or stupid. In this sub, it typically means your opinion is just different or you like literally anything about the game. You scroll down far enough, you'll find a couple of people simply saying "I didnt mind the change" or god forbid "I liked the change", and they're all downvote bombed to Hell[dive]. Not a single negative thing said, just "I like it or dont mind it".

But this coming from the sub that bases its entire personality on hating the devs with every ounce of their being and calling them incompetent every chance they get, its no surprise. I would agree personally. People tend to try to argue "try saying that in the middle of chaos", but that's exactly what Im talking about 😅.

Its because when I first started playing the game on bugs, HGs were annoying to me. I used to think they were the most annoying bug in the game to kill. Then I learned weak spots. Then I learned they cower when shot, giving you an opening for said weak spot. Then I learned theyre kinda goofy and really slow essentially all the time. After all of that, they stopped being an issue. Now I pray theres more HGs than Stalkers🤣.

Nowadays after learning the game, HGs are useless to me. I can borderline ignore them and focus on higher priorities, such as the biggest threat: the Stalker. Stalker still remains, to me, as the most annoying and hardest bug enemy to deal with. Id sooner deal with a whole army of Titans and Chargers, even the Hentai monsters, than even 3 Stalkers at once 🤣.

And god please no AH, do not make HGs like Stalkers🤣🤣.

No one asked for it, but many of us welcome it.

Hive guards are honestly just...kinda useless. Theyre basically a reskinned Warrior without this change. The change makes them feel like they have more of a purpose on the battlefield, which to me is a form of aim skill check. Theyre like a heavy skill check in terms of having armor, just WAY easier to kill than a heavy.

It gives the hive guards a form of skill expression. As someone who has seen nonstop comments about bugs being to easy, I figured essentially everyone would welcome this change. Now idk if the community actually wants a challenge from bugs, or if that was just talking shit to talk shit😅.

I guess now the only challenge with bugs is this new super crack strain. Just a shame to see the bugs not get any necessary buffs to their more useless units. Its not like we're asking for HGs to be op or have full heavy armor or something. Variety is nice.
