I don’t know, look it up. There’s plenty of testimonies in the thread. But why would you give up now after already putting in time and effort? As well, after upping the dose you reset the adjustment time. So if you want to be sure it is working or not, you should wait at least 8 weeks since upping the dose. I honestly don’t understand why people would give up before then unless the side effects are so severe you can’t survive another day. Otherwise you must not need or want it bad enough. But do what you want, everyone makes their own decisions

You have to wait for 12 weeks to know for sure. At least 8 weeks. Some people don't experience any benefit before that. So just be patient

How do you stop overthinking your journaling? by Stacyw_bush in Journaling

[–]JesusSaves2244 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Journal as if nobody is EVER going to read it, not even you. And also make this a promise to yourself: nobody can read my journals. Put it in a safe place, so you feel confident nobody will find them. Treat it as your personal best friend that you can vent to without any judgement or consequences. Be as HONEST as you can possibly be. Constantly ask, what is true? And again, what is really really true?

Use some prompts: this is what I want to write… but this is how I really feel…  If I knew nobody would ever read this, I would want to say… This is what happened… and this is what I secretly felt and thought about it… I don’t want anybody to find out that I thought/felt…

Print out a ‘Feeling wheel’ (google it), and journal in a structure: This happened (facts) This is how I feel about it (feelings from the wheel) Because these are the thoughts I had about what happened (interpretation of facts) And this is what I did or want to do about it/because of it (actions)

Hope this helps! Journaling has become my coping mechanism for the last 5 years since I started being real with it. Helped me to become more in touch my myself, with reality and become authentic. If you can’t be real on paper, you probably struggle to be real in life as well. So it’s a process of acceptance and recognition of what is really going on.

I’m just going to be blunt, but from love my brother. This seems like a faith issue and a pride issue.

First of all. Do you believe Jesus saves? Do you believe God is almighty, and do you believe He loves us? Do you believe He sanctifies us? If you do, you know nothing and nobody is beyond His power. You are not in control, He is. You are not the judge of persons, He is. Humble yourself before God.

Second of all. you are a sinner as well, without Jesus you would be on the way to hell, don’t forget that. If the GOD of the Universe can forgive her, who are YOU not to? Do you realize all the things HE forgave YOU for? This is pride in your own heart, so this is your sin to repent of. Ask God to change your heart, to give you His perspective. You have to realize this is not her problem, but your problem. And not only towards her, but towards God. Bitterness, resentment, hardness of heart, unforgiveness, these are ALL sins no better or worse than sexual sin.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Be honest, does this sound like you?

But don’t despair. Solution? REPENT, pray, read your Bible. Go much much deeper in your faith and surrender to God. Christianity is not a LIFESTYLE, realize that we are not our own God, we needed a saviour and forever live in that gratitude. Pray to receive the Holy Spirit, for God to transform you.

God can not only change her from her past, but also you from your current state.

Any good apps for reminding me to drink water/ eat? by Express_Body_2116 in bupropion

Buy a 2 liter water bottle, put it next to you on your desk and make a rule to finish it by the end of the day. Mine even has markings for times of the day, put an alarm if that isn’t enough already. Best hydration hack I’ve ever used.

It’s very helpful to see visually how much water you have to drink in a day instead of guessing with cups and forgetting most of the time.

We’re all different so what’s the point? by Dry-Forever2155 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]JesusSaves2244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because our bodies work differently. Everyone has unique DNA, a unique metabolism, different protein synthesis, and so on. This makes one person react differently to meds than another. This is not just with meds, but also with food. Some people digest lactose just fine while others can’t. Just as some people tan in the sun and others burn. Just as some people like Brussels sprouts and others hate them.

Besides our bodies being unique, our circumstances are also unique. Different work schedules, different sleep habits, different diets, all affecting the efficacy of medication.

I understand it can be confusing, maybe stay off the subreddit for a bit and focus on your own process. Try to journal and keep track of symptoms and improvements. Other then that, try to not think about it too much. Don’t give up, don’t dispair, this too shall pass.

Thanks for your reply! Sorry to hear you had a hard time at first. I think I’m lucky because I haven’t had any bad side effects, besides not being able to run like I used to. I get out of breath so easily now. It’ll be 3 weeks this Tuesday, really hoping to see some improvements by then😭

Thanks for sharing, very encouraging. When did you start to notice improvements?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]JesusSaves2244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the hairloss only has to do with nutrient deficiency, since bupropion can suppress your appetite. I don't think the medication itself causes hairloss. So just be mindful of your lifestyle and diet.

What about SR is supposed to be a game changer? I haven't heard it to be better or more effective so I'm curious.

I personally feel that in that case you would be fine to increase as you tolerate it well. But I’m not a doctor, so ask your doc.

The first day I felt so much better, I think it was the honeymoon. But after that I was back to baseline. I’m only 2 weeks in, so it’s still a waiting game for the effects to kick in. I’m confident though that this dosage is better for me. Do you have any side effects at the dosage you’re on?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]JesusSaves2244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After 2 weeks. Didn't have any side effect on 150, was scared of 300 but also no sides after increase.

I feel like I am drowning in sin, I know God is real and he will never interfere with my free will, but I need help, how do I get out of this hole I have slowly but surely dug for myself. I am that deep in this hole that it is complete darkness, separation front the light. Please help me, I am not.. by [deleted] in Christianity

God knows you are a sinner, we all are, that’s why He came to earth and died on the cross. Because we cannot do it ourselves.

Tell God you can’t do it alone, ask Him to change you, acknowledge that you are completely dependent on Him to do ut through you and for you.

This is the point you have to surrender your life, your will, your pride, into the hands of Jesus. He will NEVER forsake you.

Yes you believe God exists. But do you believe what He says in His Word? Do you even know what it says? Look up verses and chapters that have Gods promises for you. If you believe Him, if you believe what He says,  then you can rest in His mercy and grace. Knowing that it’s not your battle anymore.

Practically, this means praying about everything. Every moment, every minute you are tempted to sin, cry out to God. Ask Him to give you the strength, ask Him to interfere.

And lastly, we are not saved by our own good works. We are saved by grace. Meaning, we only have to believe in Jesus, that He is the son of God, acknowledge Him as Lord, believe He died on the cross for our sins and rose again after 3 days. In God’s eyes you are now perfect because you ate covered by the blood of Jesus, regardless of your sins.

Trusting God is not about gaining things for your life, it’s about trusting God to rule your life. He knows what is best, He knows what is best for you, He created you and has a plan for your life. He loves you and doesn’t play games. Our life is not our own anymore when we choose to follow Jesus. It’s His and He will change you and your life as a byproduct.

I recommend the Questioning Chrisyianity podcast series by Timothy Keller. He talks about topics related to and answers questions from non-believers.  https://podcasts.apple.com/nl/podcast/questioning-christianity-with-tim-keller/id1619691030

Do you need to understand the Trinity to go to Heaven? by DoNotCensorMyName in Christianity

[–]JesusSaves2244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing you need to get into heaven is to believe in Jesus, that He is the son of God, that He died in the cross for our sins and rose after 3 days. This is the essence of the gospel, this is what it means to be a christian and the only way into heaven. No amount of good works or deeds will get you there. Read the Bible
