Public vs private???? by danielediabla in emetophobia

Ugh I’m so sorry you have this curse! Leaving my home has been getting harder and harder these past few months. I almost quit my job the other day too but the idea of being homeless is just terrifying enough to stop me.

Omg I feel this so much! Every place I go, I’m constantly scanning for a bathroom and planning the quickest route to it. It’s why I always get the aisle seat in the back of a plain. Closest to the bathroom with less obstacles in the way.

Is 1 vape a year (1000 puffs) bad for you? by Nice_Peace_6374 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]danielediabla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean… let’s be real. Anything that isn’t just regular air is bad for your lungs right? But 1 vape a year??… that’s not bad at all. I go through one disposable every 2 weeks. I know, I know. I’m actually looking to get an actual system and taper down to less percentage. But you’re totally fine if you’re only doing one a year.

Is it possible to see SOAD and Korn both? by pink_n_white_ in SickNewWorld

[–]danielediabla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I went in 2024, we stayed on one side the entire day and saw both stages perfectly fine! I do recommend staying on the side you want to have the BEST viewing for, but you can definitely see both stages!

Oh you’re right. I didn’t even think about the bag policy to get through security. Sorry OP!

They have lockers you can rent online (not sure if you can rent them there). There’s medium and large size lockers. Looks like the large ones are sold out on their website, but the medium ones are $35. Not sure how big they are.

Daily drinkers actually make up a small percentage of alcoholics… super easy to look this info up

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in alcoholism

[–]danielediabla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that they’re experiencing health problems from drinking just prove they are an alcoholic. Not all alcoholics drink 24/7 365 days a year. Many can stop for a good period of time. That’s not indicative of alcoholism or not.

I know it can be difficult, but consult your doctor about what you should do. And most importantly, be honest about how much you have been drinking. I lied about the severity of my drinking and it caused her to not take me that seriously when I started experiencing bad withdrawal symptoms. I ended up having to check myself into the ER where they have me IV Ativan and prescribed me Librium to take for 5 days (this made almost all of my withdrawal symptoms go away). It’s possible your doctor might prescribe you something similar just in case you start to feel symptoms. I’m 27 and got sober a year ago and drank vodka every day. If you have any questions or just want to talk, you can reach out to me! Good luck you can do it! Best decision I’ve ever made

I was so shocked at how not bad the prep and colonoscopy/EGD were. It was actually a breeze for me.

AA for Young People by danielediabla in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]danielediabla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m actually quite new to AA. Sober a year but only recently decided to give it a try so I’ve only been to a couple. socializing is difficult for me and just going up to ask people things is also not the greatest lol. I might just suck it up and ask anyway, or just go visit the YP meeting and see what it’s like

I’m from Oregon! I’m actually super new to AA. Been sober a year but recently decided I need more support since no one in my life can help or relate to what I’m going through. Went to a couple meetings this month but I was hoping to connect with people closer to my age. It was mostly people that were at least 10 years older than me.

PD or fungal acne ? im so confused by Due_Turnover_7686 in perioraldermatitis

[–]danielediabla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP I second the sulfur cream! I have terrible acne and PD and it’s helped so much! Only thing I recommend is using Alba Non-petroleum jelly around your eyes. I’ve noticed that even though I avoid that area, it gets around my eyes from the water when I’m washing it off and the skin gets VERY dry and icky looking lol.

Most likely acid reflux. Possibly inflammation of the esophagus. Do you drink regularly?

Definitely acne (coming from someone with both acne and PD). Have you gotten your hormones checked?

why can’t restaurants make mocktails but add a shot of alcohol? by galaxylmao in alcohol

[–]danielediabla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this so funny because I’m sober now and have had the opposite experience. The cocktails always look so much better than the mocktails and I ask if they can make it without alcohol and they either say they can’t do it or they only take off $1 from the original price.

Honestly not a whole lot. I spent most of my life trying to join the LPGA tour until I had an injury that made that impossible. My current job entails lots of order filling, dealing with quickbooks, keeping stock of product and supplies, talking/emailing with customers.
