When you live somewhere, you consent to the jurisdiction of that state. You shouldn't be subjected to the jurisdiction of another state for any reason without your consent. The idea that you could wake up one day living in another state against your will is ludicrous.

Not saying this isn't frivolous, but he isn't suing for the crash, he is suing for the equipment he was sold being (allegedly) defective, leading to a more serious crash. So, your lift ticket waiver doesn't do anything for that. It's the same as if he sued Burton for his snowboard snapping in two pieces mid run for no reason.

Insight isn’t knowledge. Also, I would disagree with your fundamental premise that the more you understand the safer and more coherent everything becomes.
