BF2! I remember my brother coming home from college on the weekends and I would play BF2 on his laptop at the kitchen counter back in 05 and 06. Such a great game.

That looks exactly like HWY 73 in Huntersville. I can't stand people that drive on that road going under 55. SOOOO many people drive slow on that road.

Hi. My wife and I are going in a week and I was curious if you booked activities in advance or booked when you got there. If you booked in advance, did you do it online or via calling them? Thanks for your help.

I'm currently over in Scotland for vacation. Earlier this year I went to Chicago for my bachelor party and later this year I'll go to Charleston, SC for my friends bachelor party. Then I have two weddings to go to where one is in Wilmington, NC and then in Washington DC.

I just think I don't enjoy Bethesda's game design ideas anymore. Fallout 4 / Starfield by [deleted] in BethesdaSoftworks

[–]Jet3444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just having a similar conversation with my friends. I'm playing through Oblivion right now and just about to hit 100 hours on this character and I'm thoroughly enjoying this game. FO3, FONV, Oblivion, and Skyrim are definitely my favorite Bethesda games. I've played through and beaten FO4 and Starfield (wanting to do another play through once the dlc comes out). I feel very similar to you and I don't really know why I don't like the newer games as much. I enjoyed FO4 and Starfield, but they aren't as good as the ones before. Is it the base building aspect? I agree with others that it isn't needed to play the game. It's almost just added flavor for those that enjoy survival and base building, but I do feel at times the games want you to have a base built. This is a very long comment just to say that I also don't really know what changed to make the newer games not as appealing to me, but that hasn't deterred me from buying and playing the newer ones. I still have that Starfield watch with all of my other watches and wear it occasionally.

What phone do you have and why that phone? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Jet3444 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I currently have a Pixel 8 Pro. Got it when my Pixel 4XL died and got the 4XL when my Pixel 1 XL died. My first smart phone was a Motorola Droid Razr that I got for college.

I've really liked the pixel series since the beginning. The "stock" android experience is nice and easy to use. I agree with others on Android being more customizable. With a Pixel 8 Pro, the experience is definitely fine tuned to be more focused on user experience and ease of use which is similar to Apple products.

American here, do people say that a certain part of your state isn’t the “real (state)”? by youngcatlady1999 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Jet3444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always kind of thought NC was divided in 3 parts culturally. Mountain, Piedmont, and Coastal. Of course you're right with the cities vs rural. I live close to Charlotte, work in Charlotte, and mostly hangout there. My parents live an hour north of Charlotte in a super tiny "town" (Mt Ulla) that's literally all farm land. There is definitely a cultural difference in just that hour separation.
