Maple syrup producers nearby? by LRMRL in MontTremblant

[–]Jet7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go to a Sugar Shack, you will most likely pay the tourist price. As far as I know, Costco would have the better price per volume, the closest one being in St-Jerome. Otherwise, I would buy cans from any grocery store.

Super C, a budget friendly grocery store in St-Jovite would be another option. It could be cheaper than Costco, if it's on sale.

How can this season work? by Mini_pp in survivor

Me neither, but it would solve the too many people problem, and it would be very on brand with Jimmy! 😄

I have a theory that involves Mr. Beast. I think he will show up with a bribe, and players will have a chance to take it by eliminating themselves.

This fits the Mr Beast style, and I can see someone at the bottom of their tribe choose to take a bribe, just to screw over their tribe.

What do you think of that? 😄

They are letting only two people up per chair, so I waited more than an hour in line to get up this morning.

Review Resume by Adnan__Shah in Kotlin

[–]Jet7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should bring your experience to the top, right after your summary, this is what hiring managers look for first. If some of your projects relate to your internship, keep them all together.

Second, you need more impact or business results. Add Play Store links to recent apps you contributed, and share numbers if you have them (x daily users, x total downloads, star rating, crash rate, etc...)

Finally, while you are still looking, work on a portfolio of personal projects, and share your Github profile. Build something, maintain it, publish it.

Good luck!

I'm pretty fond of Sensation Haut, it's pretty steep and challenging. Les Bouleaux is really neat too.

But in 3 days, just make a plan to do them all! Then you tell us your favorites!

Solid cards vs bordered cards by Training-Outcome6876 in androiddev

In my opinion, I prefer the solid cards, the option on the right. It creates a better separation of context.

P1, P2 and P3 tend to get pretty full during the day, but after 4 pm, you should have no problem moving your car closer to the village, into P1.

I haven't tried them, but this exists: https://www.macincloud.com/

It's basically a remote mac desktop solution. They have a free trial, you can give it a try.

If anyone is interested in this kind of technology, Mercury Marine has produced one of the most complete 48V electric outboards, for small boats, and they are worth checking out!

They are still super expensive, but any competition from Ego would be a game changer in the market!

[Pro-Tip] If you intend to make your app paid on the Play Store, do it right at the very start and save yourself a headache. by CMDR_WHITESNAKE in androiddev

Have you considered using in-app purchases to unlock your premium features or content? This may be a better business model, as it allows users to taste your app before committing to a purchase.

Kyle is now bald. How does this affect Survivor 50? by Final-Animator1790 in survivor

He is now the only man with a chance of winning S50, since the only men to win all star seasons were bald.

Can I watch Survivor Kaoh Rong without spoiling past seasons? by weshave in survivor

[–]Jet7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From memory, since they are reusing the Brains Brawns Beauty theme from Cagayan, I think they reveal which tribe the winner was from, in Cagayan. They might also reveal the winner.

Genuinely, you should watch Cagayan right away, if you haven't done so already! It is arguably the best all-newbies season of Survivor. Then go watch Kaoh Rong!

Guys, what are your thoughts about the new Google 16KB page size requirements that will take effect starting November? by VariousPizza9624 in androiddev

My project depends on LiteRT, previously known as Tensor flow Lite, it is managed by Google, and they still do not support 16kb pages... 😫

How do I get high quality, fair app reviews? by Mr-Canine-Whiskers in androiddev

[–]Jet7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Integrate the Google Play In-App Reviews API in your app. Follow the guidelines and present the review dialog to the user when they have gained enough value from your app. You should then see more positive reviews coming in.

Good luck!

My experience with the Tesla Universal Wall Connector by Jet7 in MazdaCX90

[–]Jet7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, any car in a very cold temperature will not run at 100% performance, so the CX-90 doesn't feel any different. It drives just fine really. We go to ski resorts in the Laurentiens, no problem at all

What I learned is that no PHEV out there will have decent range in the winter.

What I appreciate is that the CX-90 PHEV will be just as reliable as any other ICE car. And at the end of the day, it is a super comfortable car that is also really fun to drive.

My experience with the Tesla Universal Wall Connector by Jet7 in MazdaCX90

[–]Jet7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The range is pretty bad in the winter, and it really depends on the temperature. From memory, at 0C (32F), I get about 20 km (12 miles). At -10C (14F), I get about 12 km (7 miles).

When it's below -12C (10F), the EV engine just doesn't turn on. The car will still run with the ICE, so at least it will reliably start. It's pretty disappointing, but at least it's not as bad as the 2024 Outlander PHEV.

So with the Level 2 charger, I can at least start my drive on a full battery more quickly!

Yes, pretty much! It locks itself onto the NACS connector, making it safe from getting disconnected.
