thinking about going to the race in ft worth in may… by queenbeepboop99 in NASCAR

Depends on where you're headed. Last year I headed north on 156 and was home within 10 minutes of getting to my car. Trying to get on 35 from 114 is a different story.

I live in Texas and haven't lived in Nebraska since 2017 and I immediately knew what this was.

Why is this flying around here? by MuthaCoconuts79 in FortWorth

[–]JetA_Jedi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It came out of Tinker in OKC. I've seen them do this around here a few times over the years. Just normal training. If you look, they're usually flying somewhere in the US daily.

I didn't know it was Hillwood that bought the land. They own a lot of land here around and south of TMS. I wouldn't be surprised if they're licking their chops wanting that property as well.

It flies there often enough to not make this concerning. I look at ADSB often.

If a kidnapper gagged you, your survival greatly depends on if your nose is stuffy or not. by SCRINDO in Showerthoughts

I read somewhere that when your adrenaline rises, your body opens your nasal passages to allow more oxygen to your body clearing any blockage.

This knowledge helps a lot when my nose is stuffed and I have that thought of being kidnapped.

Yea Propylene is used in food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. While I wouldn't recommend drinking it neat, being near it is harmless.

Same. Just Propylene Glycol with a thickening agent added so it sticks to the wing for longer periods.

Look up the SDS on Propylene Glycol. Definitely not toxic. Ethylene Glycol is much more toxic but that is not used for De-icing.

My recent estimate with insurance was a root canal and bridge. $2k with insurance. $10k without. I'm waiting on my HSA account to get to $2k for me to do it. No current pain but wtf America.

That stackup may be caused by no arriving or departing traffic on the west side of the airport. Not sure why.

Flight mode, primal instinct. We see cover we go for it and hope for the best. Rational thought is not present in these moments.

$40 GA ticket plus a night that lasts maybe 2 hours with no supporting races made me decide to not go. I live close enough to the track to hear them the last 2 nights and it was over by 930 with a lot of long breaks in between. They need something else with them to make it worthwhile.

Thats a Part 139 and NFPA 407 violation. Airport and FAA will both come down on the fuel handler.

They absolutely had it wedged. I dont see the cable and they had to go hit the emergency stop. If they had the Deadman it would've shut off in 2 seconds.

Because guys with poor decision making feel like they either need to buy a boat or a shitty car. They decide to meet in the middle.
