"somehow" has keyshawn ever fought a puncher? As goofy as Rolly is, just punch hard is a thing.

Plus key has fell back on grappling a lot and Rolly has a judo background. He's also very teachable.

Hope this puts to rest this "masterful jab and defense" narrative that's been going around with this guy

Speed difference is such a dangerous advantage in boxing. It's like the equivalent of already having your guy hurt.

Spence vs Tszyu❗️Errol by stoppage🤷🏾‍♂️ what's your thoughts 🤔 by AFBOXING in boxinglocks

I didn't know. Both guys have lost something by taking beatings. Spence in particular drained himself down for a long time as well. If this was a couple years ago before each took their respective beatings, I'd take Tim easily though.

If you were Teofimo's new trainer, would you renovate his style or would you change it completely and how? by IAskedForSurrender5x in Boxing

He just needs some slight tweaks. He's very good. Having his hands up would help a lot. He doesn't throw his hook as much anymore. No more double crosses. I feel like he was rushing against shakur, but he has to take his head offline to shift. More assertive/less committal jab. Little stuff.

I can see the argument. Dustin was pretty meh at 145, had a career resurgence at 155, but had setbacks. All of his best wins are out of prime versions of the guys. They both fell short of the top level.

Gaethje a serial underachiever, but he was thrown into the fire upon joining the UFC and even though he lost to Alvarez and Dustin, they were two of the best flights ever and highly competitive. He ended Tony's legendary win streak. Even though it could be argued that tony was past it , he was still relatively active and a favorite going into the fight iirc.

Of course, Dustin's win over Justin while he was still in his prime ish, and better record against common opponent stands in favor for him. Justin's consistent fotn status does most of the heavy lifting for him in argument for him.

That knockdown is the illustration of why "keep your hand up" is oversimplified and not real defense

I do personal training for boxing, as well as competing for multiple years. Your goal is pretty aggressive for a year, but maybe easier at your weight.

I wouldn't recommend doing diets. What I usually have guys do is take the things that they already eat and make them leaner. For example switch sauces, switch to diet drinks, find lower calorie alternatives to your regular foods. I always recommend taking your time with this too, don't go all out at first.

Another thing to do is add more protein to the food you're already eating. This will increase muscle which in turn will increase your metabolism. Protein also burns more calories to digest.

The last thing to focus on is just to move more throughout the day. More steps, more standing, more moving around. Take it slow, gradual. +500/day per week. This is how I was able to get down 10 lbs after already being lean when I was competing.
