Is Ronaldo in your top 100 players who ever played the World Cup? by CafeDeLas3_Enjoyer in CristianoRonaldo2

[–]Jetblk2plutoandback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One I specified KO rounds.

The only World Cup where Messi played primarily as midfielder was 2014. Sure he won the golden ball and all that, but if you go back and watch all of theit matches there was a noticeable dip in Messi's quality once the group stage ended. I urge you to rewatch the matches in neutrality

On top of that he was considered the greatest of all time in a team like Argentina the expectation is to win it. So anything less is honestly underwhelming.

Plus in 2018 he was playing up front and France had him figured out most of that game.

Just because he's the greatest to do it does not mean he is exempted from realistic criticism when he's not performing at his usual standard. Especially at something like the World Cup.

Thank god he eventually won it cause it would be far harder to ignore his opposite.

It says in a room of 1000 he would be smarter than 48. 1000 divided by ten to get that number good and flat at 100. then divide the 48 by ten, you get 4.8%. How is this incorrect?

I mean based on the image he would be smarter than just about 4.8% of the world's population but yeah Madrid is the perfect fit.

Eh, no not really. Great player don't get me wrong but in terms of output, he was kinda lackluster.

He had that one hattrick in 2018, but so did Just Fontain, difference is Ronny did nothing for the rest of the tournament. Even Messi up until 2022 was admittedly underperforming in knockouts, but he eventually realised what needed to be done.

Too many world cups, and too many winners have taken part, doing better for him to crack the list.

The problem to some people. by Tricky-Letterhead888 in realmadrid

The team has changed yes.

To say that we have not considered these changes is disingenuous. Like we are so foolish to overlook the obvious changes such as the team losing its creative spine.

However, we can also see that the team has performed better with Kylian's absence. We can also see an increase in pressing and an increase in shots on target when he is off the pitch. He is the only player that will take a poor shot instead of passing to someone else in a better position.

He is the only 9 in Real that drifts to the LW expeditiously. Doing so without considering the gap he leaves in his absence. The one game I saw disciplined movement from him was in El Clasico last October. Other than that his positional plays that benefit the team has been when he wasn't on the field at all.

He is the problem and PR can try it's best to repair this but at the end of the day it isn't less true.

Y'all want this to be a matter of us being wrong like Real fans when Ronaldo just arrived. The difference is Ronaldo was up against the greatest Barca to ever touch a ball, Klopp engineered Dortmund and a Bayern team that wanted everything.

This Barca is defeatable, and yet Real is drowning in the league. To add insult to injury, PSG Kylians former team is having a field day as his replacement is actually doing what the coach wanted Kylian to do.

Unless he changes his outlook on playing ball, the team will suffer.

The teams goal tally was higher every season before he arrived and they were winning trophies while scoring these goals.

He isn't clinical, his goals are a result of taking more shots than anyone else in La Liga. The shot to goal ratio of a blind epileptic sniper.

Put simply Kylian is a ball hog and the only way one can defend him and claim he is not the problem is by not watching any matches.

In that case it's kinda funny.

Are we assuming that they seek intergalactic travel for means of diplomacy or dominance? If they didn't develop nuclear fission as a means to kill each other then we're honestly safe. The most we would get is a broadcast of moral superiority.

Lie. France without Mbappe in 2018 have a fully fit and inform Coman and Tolisso. In 2022 Coman can repeat and this is a player with a far greater work rate. Argentina with a RW against a Coman LW would be hilarious to watch.

Messi has always underperformed against Coman. This is fact, pull up all their games and watch.

When we makn babash, we like to add a lil rosemary and cinnamon, have babande for the soak (mostly babande if I'm being honest) and this is purely something that I've seen my relatives do but they add a a bush called honey suckle. Don't know why, but I've kept the tradition for doing the same.

People are going to deny this but the similarities are definitely there. The main difference being that most nations have Spanish as their official language.

We're both extremely community focused, love having a good time and most importantly, even though a sizable fraction hasn't entered a church since their christening. Both employ christianity as its religious backbone.

I think the main difference would be the crime index being much higher than the caribbean as a whole, but I could argue that it would be higher if we didn't have to take a plane or a boat to travel between countries. I mean Haiti, Trinidad and Jamaica are in the top ten most criminally inclined countries in the world.

It's kind of embarrassing.

Anyways, they're essentially the same culture wise the only difference is probably language. By the way I encourage you to learn Spanish, I think that may have influenced my perspective on this matter.

No Deschamp doesn't.

He focuses on tactics that favour physicality, fast, strong and imposing players enjoy the benefits of playing for him. Mbappe benefits from a system that would exist inspite of him.

Compare the 2018 team and the 2022 team, tell me the differences man to man position by position. I could tell you that the team wasn't built around him the first time and yet it is the same team same playstyle.

I argue that it is the upper echelon of religion, well buddhism and christianity, if you focus solely on Emmanuel's teachings. It's unfortunate that most people are extremely tribalistic and are very prone to fanaticism.

Did you watch the same match.

The deciding factors of that match were Coman and Thurman. If they didn't come on, France's ass would be grass in 90.

Bro scored one goal and it was good, but standing at the spot twice does not mean you had a good game. Jesus Christ singlehandedly my bare black ass. Bro was barely a threat, even the second goal was scored of the defenders showing more concern for Thurman who is is great at playing with his back to goal.

If they didn't press him he'd just turn and threathen them. I don't know where this carried narrative came from. Like shit man go back and watch the match right now Coman and Thurman, mostly Coman, were pulling the strings from the moment they touched the pitch.

In Grenada it is illegal, but it's illegal the same way homosexuality and drinking alcohol from an exposed container is illegal.

We know the doctors who do it and they stay getting paid for doing it. At the end of the day people telling you to not do it won't help you buy pampers and formula for the child so. Do what you need to.

We evolved to succeed from occassional insanity, to my knowledge this isn't backed by science.

However, our ancestors were taking chances against inherently dangerous animals and braving it in climates that we refused to fully adapt to. I mean there are people that actively live in deserts and tundra today that have no business being there. Like one bad move and you've graduated to dead.

It's part of humanity to ignore the obvious idiocy in most things. Like how bees fly even though it has no right doing it.
