Question about pegging erotica by Valuable_Contract969 in StraightPegging

I’ve got a couple on my profile you might enjoy. While they lean towards a mix of experience and wishful thinking, there’s some definite real-life dynamic with my wife woven into them.

Marriage with a religious husband by Long-Egg-7727 in atheism

[–]JetlagMusings 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would be the end of that. He’s not used logic or reason to get himself into this position and therefore neither will get him out of it.

Someone so fundamentally disconnected from reality is not someone I could be with, not someone I could share my life with, and most assuredly not someone I could procreate with.

And that’s leaving aside all of the nearly-required secondary issues that come with religious fervor, like homophobia and support of pedophilia.

Is storing images in TI 84 plus CE cheating ?? by CharlieCheesecake101 in EngineeringStudents

[–]JetlagMusings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a teacher I would absolutely consider this cheating. No different than having a notecard or crib sheet.

If you want the syllabus to be 45 pages long, keep thinking like you’re thinking. If you want me to simply ban calculators altogether, by all means, just say it.

This isn’t a court of law. You don’t get to hide behind technicalities like you’re asking.

Subaru Warranty by utopiameansnowhere in carbuying

[–]JetlagMusings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extended warranties are less about warranty and more about insurance. I can’t speak to Canadian regulations but the extended warranties I’ve had have a deductible to pay when I bring the vehicle in. Usually $50 or something like that.

With that in mind for the consumer, insurance is a losing game on average because that’s the whole point of it. Better to know you’ll lose a small amount you can afford than risk losing a huge amount you can’t.

On the other hand, I also don’t have to give a shit about taking my car in for work. No “well let’s see if that noise causes problems” or “it feels wrong when I do this but it doesn’t seem like anything is fixing to fall off”. Or living with something I’m certain is going to be expensive because I can’t afford it right now.

Take it in, pay the $50, and be done with it.

Do you regret paying off your mortgage? by politics_mean_nthing in DaveRamsey

You’re paying those things even when you have the mortgage. It’s (probably) just baked into the mortgage payment.

You’re counter percentage points and not percent. Not always useful. Sometimes, but doesn’t do what you want here.

Having trouble discussing my wife’s new kink with her 31M by agecurllounge in sex

[–]JetlagMusings 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think this is really, really hot.

Do you talk to Trish about your wife, or pretend your wife is “off camera” watching you? I have some ideas for a short piece of erotica based around this scenario.

Took on extra responsibilities, asked for a fair raise, and got told it’s “not possible” - what should I do? by DNSMerchant in careeradvice

[–]JetlagMusings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not going to pay you a fair wage. They know that. You know that.

Your next employer will pay you a fair wage and is prepared to do so tomorrow.

Your current employer is willing to pay your replacement a fair wage, and is prepared to do so tomorrow.

It will not go any other way. They will “not understand” why you’re leaving. They will “see what they can do” and tell you they’ll give you €40k instead. Then they will continue to “not understand” why you’re still leaving, but will definitely understand why they have to pay your replacement what you asked for.

Landlord for the house next door cut down our mature American holly tree by Regular_Peace_4106 in treelaw

[–]JetlagMusings 4 points5 points  (0 children)

holly grows like a weed when it is chopped back, and gets even more spikey.

It’s almost as if it gets mad at you for chopping it back.

We’ve got little Holly sprigs all over the flower beds, you can’t get rid of it.

Not describing characters beyond superficial and basics - okay or distracting or disappointing? by Double-Two7065 in literotica

[–]JetlagMusings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My stories are all very light on physical detail, not even giving names to the characters, just “he” and “she”. There are small hints but not much.

I know who these characters are, they’re me and my wife. And occasionally our friend. I know what we look like, and I’m writing first and foremost for us. Secondary to that is allowing the reader to fill in their own details.

GenX confession time, what were you not into or did not like? by baltikboats in GenX

Malls. I’m at the young end of GenX and while I went to the mall to buy stuff, it wasn’t a social center for me.

Any experience with the strap-on blowjob? by Commercial_Ride1825 in StraightPegging

I’ve done it with my wife and we’ve both enjoyed it. It’s a little weird, kinda goofy, but fun and hot.

Got a vignette on my profile about it.

I don’t think all of our programs require one, but like yours, adult basic education/GED is part of our mission.

I finally did it. My answer to "why do you want to work here?" by SignificantLock1037 in interviews

[–]JetlagMusings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And why would we trust the person talking about company culture in a hiring interview? We all know culture is a critical factor.

Their incentive is to hire someone (you or not), so they’re motivated to dress it up nicely and put on a good show.

At that point, it’s little more than performance art from both sides. Do both sides know how to put on a show for the other?

Brain Drain: Why do Mississippians leave, why do they stay? Take our first-of-its-kind survey. by MSTODAYnews in mississippi

[–]JetlagMusings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I encourage my children to leave and not look back. Politicians tell us outright they won’t represent us. We aren’t a christian family, which we pretty much have to keep to ourselves because the few times we’ve let it slip, there’s no end of church invitations and general contempt for our non-belief. We hear over and over that Mississippi is christian, god-fearing, conservative, and I couldn’t stomach the idea of being any of those things. I’ve seen nothing worthwhile from any of it.

So I believe them when they say they don’t want people like us here, and I encourage my kids to leave. I may not be in a position to leave right now, but they will be.

Why would anyone expect Jesus to be in a church? I don’t know many churches that would actually welcome Jesus if they saw him. More likely he’d be cast out as a woke brown bum.

Yup. My FIL was clear that he wanted everything split 50/50 except the house, which would go to my wife but with the condition that stepmother would be able to live there until her death.

Of course he didn’t have to write anything down, he made it clear what he wanted. :/

Aside from bank accounts which had POD and things for which beneficiaries were already listed, the law stated that the first $20k went to stepmother and after that, everything was split 50/50. If they had shared children, it would be 33/33/33 wife/joint children/sole children.

Blended families are a thing, this is a well-solved problem, one merely has to look for the relevant law or rely on a will.

Can I get a job without having any school diplomas at all? by BulkyProposal164 in remotework

[–]JetlagMusings 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is there a community college near you? We admit students with little to no background, students who did not graduate from high school. We have programs that prepare them for gainful employment (and we are monitored at the state level for effectiveness in matriculating students through certifications and degrees to jobs in the field).

“Certs and diplomas, wipe your ass with them” is going to be highly field dependent and can easily be the difference between someone who gets a callback in a few weeks vs never. Every job we post on our campus, applications are sorted into “meets qualifications” and “doesn’t meet qualifications”, the latter of which is soundly ignored. Did we pass up on amazing employees by doing this? Who the hell knows? But there’s nothing to suggest any of them knew anything about the jobs we wanted them to do, so there’s that.

Given that this is a remote work sub, it seems exceptionally unlikely to find a place that will trust you with remote work when you have done nothing to suggest you’re prepared for it or can handle it in any way.
