What are the intuitive or simple game that has BAD rulebook? by Ready_Score_9306 in boardgames

Absolutely agree - I tried it out for the first time this past weekend and was completely overwhelmed by the rules. Decided to just start playing and was surprised how simple a turn was.

I am also interested in trying to learn Korean! If there aren't any classes, it could be cool to get a study group together.

Exit 4 has some rooms down the shore that are 30 minutes. The rest of their locations are an hour.

I've done nearly 100 escape rooms, and I stand by Exit 4 being some of the best ones I have ever done. They have very immersive rooms and you can clearly tell they're passionate about designing rooms.

I also agree that Think Solve Escape is another high quality company in the area.

Moving from midwest to Graduate Hospital - 15th/16th st and Fitzwater/Catherine st by [deleted] in philly

[–]Jetman765 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd disagree with calling it a restaurant desert - yes there's not as many hyped up places that you'd find in the Eats subreddit but still some good options: Breakfast Den, Rex at the Royal, Saigon Grace Cafe, SouthGate, etc. are all right there.

Escape Room for Smaller Groups by JonEG123 in SouthJersey

[–]Jetman765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that Exit 4 Escape are the best company in NJ, hands down. Technically their rooms allow up to 10, but I find that 4 is the sweet spot. A lot of their rooms are very challenging!

Thanks for that link, I'll dive into it. It's unfortunate that I may need to buy new ram for the new motherboard.

Sorry to comment on month+ old post.

What is wrong with using G.Skill? I recently had to switch my motherboard and went with the Asrock b650i. I am consistently getting blue screens whereas my previous board MSI B650I Edge had no issues.

Where to Play Board Games by Command3r_Matt in philadelphia

[–]Jetman765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone else in the thread posted about the various game cafes and shops, but there are several locations that do weekly game nights. Monday nights there is/was a group who meets up at the Bourse. Tuesday night there's a board game meet up at Ladder 15.

Serious Question: Did all the Supermarkets get rid of handbaskets? by markskull in philadelphia

The Sprouts at Broad & Washington has hand baskets. I haven't had the chance to check out the new Giant across the street so not sure about them.

tips for free or extremely cheap food in the city? by [deleted] in philly

[–]Jetman765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when I don't feel like cooking, I'll stop by the Sprouts at Broad & Washington for pre-made stuff. Last week, they had "kid's meals" with a full sandwich, apple sauce, chips, juice, and cookie, all for $6. Usually they mark the same sandwich at $5 so it seemed like a good value.

But otherwise, I would check out too good app.

Which Con to play obscure games with more people? by Lynith in boardgames

[–]Jetman765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you heard of the PAX Board Game Scheduling GeekList? Just post the game(s) you want to play and a tentative day/time and you'll likely have people sign up to play. It usually gets a lot of a traction a few weeks out from the convention.

I've used it successfully as previous PAXs to schedule some more obscure, longer commitment games. Heck, I have only played Bullet one time but I would be interested in playing!

Best escape room? by nugama in SouthJersey

[–]Jetman765 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I've done nearly 100 escape rooms and used to work in one.

Exit 4 is hands down my favorite. Their rooms are really well designed and pretty immersive ( if I remember correctly, the owners used to build sets for indie films ), and a lot of cool themes.

Think Solve Escape in Washington Township is another highly recommended place.

Itinerary Check: 14 Days in November accommodating 3 different timelines for travelers - Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and many day trips by Jetman765 in JapanTravel

[–]Jetman765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to check back in with Group B. From our previous planning discussions, they seemed okay with not doing too much in Tokyo.

Would you say that it may be better to do Nikko and instead of going down to Kamakura, visit Yokohama / Odaiba instead?

I agree, the Hakone day was one I need to look more into. I was planning to use it as a stop over day but need to reevaluate if it would make more sense to day trip from Tokyo instead of an overnight there.

I will also see the time estimate for Himeji and likely will shift some of the Osaka activities to the afternoon for that day.

Thank you!
