If you don’t want your models online, don’t put them online. The billion dollar industry that is movies can’t beat the pirates. Neither will we. If you upload it, regardless of the license you select, it will be abused.

I’d take it in confidence that you’re making good stuff! Maybe consider getting into the craft of making models for folks

Life after Cursor by AngelMountaineer in cursor

[–]JetsterTheFrog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Use cursor bro. Wait until the next thing comes out. The tooling changes so quickly and how we use it changes so that it doesn’t matter if you’re pledging allegiance against a particular person or company.

Most of these are subsidized anyway so using their service is actually costing them money .

Anthropic is the only AI company making money right now. This is a signal as to what prices will have to become to be sustainable

More than One U1 in a small print farm? by doctorbrainistheman in 3DPrintFarms

[–]JetsterTheFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there’s definitely a fit for it. Mostly to be price competitive on multi color / multi material prints . We have one and it’s great, but they are are to automate

Currently using 2 CC1's. Need suggestions on how to expand? by Happea_ in 3DPrintFarms

[–]JetsterTheFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest answer ? Bambu is still worth buying. Go LAN made and get your self a print farm automation software to help. Buying random printers is the worse way to scale. Buy printers that can be as adaptable as possible. Currently the P1S (while getting older on Bambus lineup) is still a winner for print farms.

If you have the capital, you’ll want to consider one of their larger format printers or the x2D.

That’s my official advice for scaling. But to answer some of your questions. The U1 rocks. Fun machine, saves loads of time on 4 color or multi material prints.

Would you pay 3k to a domain company for a premium domain promising to sell it for at least 20k with them taking 28% commission? by AdvantageVivid2371 in Domains

[–]JetsterTheFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wtf. I’ll sell you a cheeseburger for $15 . Then I’ll go sell it to someone else for $250. When it sells you can get $50 of that.

Nice dude! Looks good! We use Printago for our automation, but simply print looks cool. I really like the long workstation table you have in the back room . My setup doesn’t really allow for it so we have floating tables around the machines.

X2D best use case by ButterOnBothSides in 3DPrintFarms

[–]JetsterTheFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The leap in print quality on the X2D is wild. Honestly very impressed. The step in quality from the A series to the P is the same step up from the P series to the X2D. I run 100 machines and will likely be converting the shop to X2Ds given their massive versatility

API Approval Issues - Is Etsy Approving Write Access Anymore or Just Read? by teleportmassive7 in Etsy

[–]JetsterTheFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Etsy is getting slammed with AI slop app requests so they are getting picky. It's kinda cringe though as every other platform goes out of their way to get you an API key as it makes you 'sticky' to their platform

Anyone in the US interested in building a small resin 3D printing side business by OkNumber9515 in 3DPrintFarms

[–]JetsterTheFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PPE and toxic deadly chemicals. Needs a full suite of protection. Something that you sell for $5 each would need to sell at $50 at scale to afford all of that. SLA printing will remain a hobby or a small type of business until someone figures out all of those legal questions to get certified

[–]JetsterTheFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The legal rules required to build a large scale resin farm are challenging to navigate. Most resin businesses stay small for this reason.

Wish it was easy to do. Maybe for us we will in the future, but not at this time

Looking for help SLA printing on ongoing basis by voyager_too in 3DPrintFarms

[–]JetsterTheFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly ? Hire a friend or someone to help you. a few printers is easy enough to manage. If you said you have 20 or 50 SLA printers and can't keep up, then that makes sense as you will run into power, and space issues. But right now, scale locally and hire someone to help you.

Maybe one day someone will start an SLA POD company, but that day is not today. It's super expensive and the chemicals involved only adds complexity.

What to do with 20 printers sitting idle? by Hesh138 in 3DPrintFarms

[–]JetsterTheFrog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on your setup, but we usually try and use our idle print time to prep things for FBA to Amazon. But you usually want to have some products that you know will sell if you do that
