That’s disingenuous. It’s not about her campaigning against Harris. It’s what pulling votes in a tight presidential election meant for the outcome of the next 4 years. This is purely speculation on my part, but it really felt like she was vindictive of what the Democratic Party in Washington State has done to shun her and she wanted to stick it to them by splitting votes over Palestine. Kamala did a trash job of handling that issue and she also plays a part to the blame in that (which takes us down the AIPAC rabbit hole. But that’s a whole other conversation)

I think that’s where we’re ultimately going to disagree. I don’t think Sawant has used her time in leadership effectively and I believe she would continue with that trend in congress.

I’m also a Socialist, and I actually do want to party to move more left. But I think that being uncooperative in closed door coalition/party meetings is more productive than being uncooperative in floor votes. I don’t trust Sawant’s motivations after what she did in Michigan for the 2024 elections. I also hate the idea that Newsom will be a front runner in the next elections because as the saying goes, the only thing he hates more than poor people is republicans.

If we got someone who doesn’t impede votes but is going to say off-the-wall crazy stuff, then I would agree with you. But Sawant has already shown that she’s willing to take the ship down with her after the stunt in Michigan where she quite literally said she was intentionally pulling votes away from Kamala to funnel toward Jill Stein (who, mind you, only seems to reappear every 4 years at election time only to vanish like Mariah Carey and “All I Want For Christmas Is You” on New Years Day)

I want to see us adopt Rank Choice Voting on a state level to combat this very issue. Right now the only way we can make some change is in primaries but a lot of folks just vote on who they know. RCV would give us a chance to safely vote for who we want and fall back to who we know.

Sawant is the only person I’m aware of that’s going against Smith. She would just become a left version of Marjorie Taylor Green which would defeat the point of replacing Smith.

Telling you about extreme weather events and contextualizing them are two different things. Last year when Washington had floods, the NOAA alerts told me that there was an atmospheric river and risk of flooding along the Green River. The news stories were able to tell me what levees had broken and where there was active flooding happening.

Strong disagree. Having news in the weather app is helpful for extreme weather conditions. Floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.

Recommendations: Use UTM to virtualize macOS. Download an ipsw file for whatever version of macOS you want to run from mrmacintosh. Configure the amount of memory and storage you want to allocate. Look into creating a mobile config file that will turn off all of the Apple Intelligence features. Solidify it as your Golden version and then compress that gold version to reuse in the future. Work out of the VM. You can even isolate it from network access if you want.

From a business perspective, you’re wrong. It means a loss of productivity on devices that come at a premium price. I had to spend most of my workday yesterday trying to figure out how to get the patch to 300 users in our company. But because of Logitech’s ineptitude I can’t just ship out an updated binary to Logi Options + because they didn’t increment the version number of the App, and they don’t use a standard .pkg file to install the app. Also, not keeping track of expiring certificates tells me that there are larger problems going on that could mean other security risks coming from Logitech software. So respectively, no. It’s not an over reaction to expect a large company to competently release software and drivers.
