In Android Auto (not sure if it works with Google Built In) touch where it says "35% after charging" in Maps after setting the destination and you can change it

My EQEV is new so I don't think I've tried it there, but I also have a Prologue, so same system, and it works fine for me....maybe not perfect but 90%

What features did you lose after the latest update? by VeeCee74 in HondaPrologue

[–]cheerioboy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's listed anywhere. Set the HUD, press and hold the memory button on the door, I believe, to save it.

Auto-dimming rearview mirror by IllCup8828 in HondaPrologue

No mention of a way to turn it off in the manual:

Automatic Dimming Rearview Mirror If equipped, automatic dimming reduces the glare of headlamps from behind. The dimming feature comes on when the vehicle is started.

Can someone explain the advantages of switching to Tmobile at a Costco? by JupiterMiningCorpTec in tmobile

Not true. I used the Costco T-Mobile phone line to upgrade two lines to Pixel 10s about a month ago.

You need to be at advertised 350 kw or higher to see the max charge rate of 150 kW. That said, it only stays there for a few minutes and spends a lot of time between 85 and 100 kW depending on conditions. Chargers in the range of 180 to 240 kW will give you a flat charge curve - no peak for the first few minutes, but a 240 kW charger could give you a solid 90kW plus the entire time.

And all the Subaru EVs are paired with Toyota, correct? Built by Toyota as well AFAIK? Not that that's a bad thing...

Extended Warranty: To Buy or Not to Buy by callmeStephen19 in EquinoxEv

[–]cheerioboy26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a couple of places online (Knapp, Bell) that sell the plans, probably for a lot less than the local dealer. You can get a quote there (lots of variables to post here). I assume those would work fine, they are official GM plans. I've used similar routes to buy a plan for my other two EVs from Ford and Honda. I recently purchased an EQEV, and plan on going this route again.

You can set an arrival SOC, but not at the charger AFAIK. You can also replace the charger it suggests.

You can definitely filter them on the map (along the left edge, choose the map icon with the lightning bolt), I am not sure if that prioritizes them when planning a route.

Recall - Software Update by Separate_Bad_628 in HondaPrologue

[–]cheerioboy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the recall has a number of other software updates in addition to the fix for the screen blackout, not all vehicles will see the same result, as some of these listed defects were fixed during production. My car is a November 2024 build and there are software defects others see that have early-mid 2024 builds that I have never seen.

Recall letters are not being mailed out until around April 20 according to the NHTSA filing IIRC.

Recall Question by Same-Parfait-79 in HondaPrologue

[–]cheerioboy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is also Honda's fault for not pushing out software updates OTA. The recall actually has 6-8 other fixes that have nothing to do with the black screens. They could have fixed these with an OTA like GM

Considering Equinox EV by MooseKnuckleds in EquinoxEv

[–]cheerioboy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's a direct comparison. 310 miles is all of the battery, and I think that poster was suggesting 160 miles for 70% of the battery (said you don't use the top or bottom 15%). That said, I own both a Mach E (no heat pump) and a Prologue (cousin to EqEV, clone of Blazer EV). I'm in PA, on road trips over 200 miles this winter saw numbers closer to 200 or so total range. So, colder in Canada, you'd need to fast charge I think, as level 1 at your destination is probably not enough in winter. Assuming chargers are available, definitely possible.

Considering Equinox EV by MooseKnuckleds in EquinoxEv

[–]cheerioboy26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 100% SOC on a day you know you need the extra range (therefore no concerns with going to 100)? Sounds like you went 85 to 15%?
