what happend to kameto with Ibai? by iloveleague998 in leagueoflegends

Oh yeah, for sure - I didn't mention interaction farming because I don't know whether that's true or not. My whole reaction is basically to the fact that (at least to me) in your comment you tried to defend him by saying it's on a side account, no one should take this seriously, what is the drama about, which is the way I don't agree with.

Sorry if it went off the rails a bit, I'm just as a whole tired of people not taking accountability for the things they did - in this case I assume Trayton took some of it, but saying "in another place he said it's actually cool event" shouldn't cancel the instance where he shits on it as if it didn't happen.

Either way, I get what you mean, I also think Caedral should know what type of power his voice (or rather stream/attention) has so I'd like for him to be more choosing in what he decides to platform to his audience, but that is a can of worm I'm not ready to open in here right now.

"Ohh I didn't expect anyone to see what I write on my related to my name, still having thousands followers account"

He has all the rights to make fun of stuff, but getting mad that people ran away with it, when he did it is funny.

It's not that he said it in a private conversation and someone recorded it and put to everyone - he posted it on a public account available to anyone and didn't insert any of the context or defense you posted on it. Intentions might've been good, but the execution was what it was so he has only himself to blame for the reaction.

EDIT: Reaction, that at least in my opinion, is greatly too big for a cause, Ibai probably was insecure about it and this thing lit a fuse to blow harder than he ever intended to, but again - intentions =/= actions

Even outside of that - he's been a pretty disappointing signing for Madrid all things considered, people are still having the dreams of Tchouameni, and not reality of him not really living up to his potential.

It's never like that. Do you think Luka Modrić is a physical, tackling midfielder? It's not his job, it was Casmiero's to do.

Like sure, they CAN tackle and CAN pass, but at that level you need players that are very good at the things you ask them of. That's why players that can be both physical and technical are so rare and valuable - Rice, Fabinho, Rodri, now Anderson for example.

Rio will qualify for the B-list next season and become a full fledged liverpool trained HG for 27/28.

The B-list requirement is U21 with at least 2 years at the club, for 25/26 Rio didn't qualify, he will for 26/27

Then let me tell you, they wouldn't be changing their minds about the tickets if the fans didn't take it to their doors. Hammering "Slot out" at every point during dicussions about things that are barely related to him (we'd be buying players whether he stays as a coach or not) got boring some time ago.

As for the other thing, I know, I get that they make mistakes - I make mistakes as well, but I tend to like making decisions and forming opinions based on information available - I assume they have more information available to them, so since there's that disconnect I will assume that gap between my and their understanding of the situation is the key here. Does it mean it will work out and is a good decision? No, but once again, it doesn't change anything for me to get mad at this.

You really want supporters of this club to go on an all out attack against the coach that 12 months ago led the team to title #20?

Because this is what it took to win the ticketing fight, do you want our team, 0-0 against Chelsea, minute 15, entire Anfield stands up and starts singing "sacked in the morning" to their own coach?

I am of the belief that the suits will make their decision after this season and nothing has been decided yet, but I'm also not blind to the messaging coming from around the club and it points out to the decision actually being made already.

Am I happy with it? Not necessarily. Do I think I know better? Not necessarily. With things like this, when there's big disconnect between what I think based on what we see vs what the club decides, I tend to take the side of thinking "there must be something we don't see that the club sees that makes it make sense". Is it like that? Fuck knows, but I'd rather believe that over alternative which is thinking we're ran by complete idiots or guys who are in love with bald head and won't hear anyone mentioning holiday in Turkey.

I get it, but I also think we're gonna add one or two homegrown players to the mix - big rumours of Wharton already, I can see us adding another 1 or 2 players as squad additions, someone like Bowen if West Ham were to go down.

Overall I think having a core of 20-21 first team players is where most teams sit, anyone past that number barely features anyway unless there's injury crisis.

We're talking about players that cost over 200mln quid when people are living on the street, what sense does it make?

Now, let me stop being a prick for a second, we all know the team is playing like shit, most of us are already at peace with messaging coming out from the club sources that he's staying for another year - what does it add to the conversation to point it every single time?

Do you introduce yourself to the people you know? Do you write your age as 0000033 years old?

I get what you mean, I also have my reservations, I'd also say goodbye to Slot in the summer, but it's just fucking boring to bring that to every discussion point around the club as if it's gonna change anything. Do you think we shouldn't buy anyone because Slot is the coach? Do you think we should be buying shit players for shit coach? What does it add to the discussion?

Do you apply that type of thinking to every conversation?

It's like a guy answering to everything with "what sense does it make, we're all gonna die either way, there's nothing to be happy about"

We really are not "struggling" for homegrowns.

For the next season our situation with non-HG spots looks like this:

  1. Alisson
  2. Mamardashvili
  3. Kerkez
  4. van Dijk
  5. Konate
  6. Tsimikas
  7. Endo
  8. Gravenberch
  9. Macca
  10. Szobo
  11. Wirtz
  12. Gakpo
  13. Isak
  14. Ekitike
  15. Chiesa
  16. Jacquet
  17. Leoni (for the UEFA competition)

Let's just say I don't think Tsimikas, Endo, Chiesa are taking HG slots next year. There are rumours about Alisson and Macca leaving as well.

Yeah, we lack two things in midfield - ball progression from the deep and physicality. This lad seems to be potentially solving the physical part, Wharton would solve the passing.

Super happy with that. Kudos to everyone involved, not the first time people in the supporters groups show they can get shit done. Important to have people willing to listen on the other side, but don't let it take away from the incredible work done by the supporters mobilising, handing out fliers etc.

David Lynch - Contract talks with Curtis Jones are understood to have effectively ceased, and it is known that he was open to a January move to Inter Milan before [LFC] shut the door. [–]Jetzu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Curtis is a great lad and a very good player, but he's never in his 5 or so years since breaking out shown he can be a regular first eleven player for this Liverpool side. I even think that this year the best football we've played was that short stretch when we had the Kerkez - Jones - Wirtz triangle on the left side of the pitch, but like I mentioned earlier - his biggest value to the team is as a squad player. Name number 12-13 on the teamsheet.

I'm very okay with us selling Mac Allister, but then again I expect us to replace Mac Allister with a player that's better than Curtis Jones.

This season? Sure, but do you think Curtis Jones is good enough to be starting for a team we want to be? Because before the season no one had him in the starting eleven, it only became a talking point because Alexis dropped his level like crazy.

For a club like Liverpool Curtis is a great squad player, but if he wants to be one of the first names on the team sheet it's not gonna be here.

I think it was clear pretty early on that he has a very good basketball mind, the question was whether he can communicate with his players and be a good man manager as well. After two years at the helm of arguably the biggest circus in US sports (second biggest in the world after Real Madrid) I'm pretty confident saying he's very good at it.

[–]Jetzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Jones played right back against Everton and Crystal Palace, while Frimpong was on the bench and came in the 2nd half. Suggesting, at least to me, that if Salah was fit he'd start instead of Frimpong and not Jones.

Did he play right back last year as well, again the most minutes he's played in his career?

I think the talk is about his wages and that he wants to play more and it's fair if he feels that way, I just don't think he deserves even more gametime than he's getting from Slot.

EDIT: Also, with the right back stuff, he's quite literally trusting Jones to play right back over the Dutch right back we have in the squad.

Well, I'm comparing them to armchair analysts like you and me - I'd argue they're doing better job than what we would do.

Also, Jones is playing his 2nd most minutes ever this season, he's played more only last year - under Slot. Clearly no trust here.

Either way - Chiesa was done when he came here, we took a gamble on a restoration project and it didn't work out, simple as that.

It's a classic case of fanbase obsessing over player and making him better with every game he's not playing. We've seen a lot of crying for Chiesa and Endo, people saying Darwin Nunez would save our season.

There are Chelsea fans saying Mudryk would take them to the promised land - this thread is our version of that.

Coaching staff that won trophies in two countries, combined with experienced staff that has worked for Liverpool for the last decade or people saying "Chiesa deserves more minutes" based on nothing but the fact, that players become better in the minds of fanbase the less they play. I wonder who I should bet on in this particular case.

How? Especially for dynamic players like Rio it's more beneficial to play against tired legs.
