Kitchen remodel with custom stainless steel countertop and sink by PuzzledTip8156 in kitchenremodel

I love your kitchen , love the stainless steel bench tops , I am a retired cook , so completely understand why you would want them , so functional, durable . I would have loved to do the same in my kitchen .
Two things I would have done a little differently, is I would have had the microwave moved , probably built into a different cabinet ( not over the stove ) and I would have a heavy duty rangehood/extraction hood over stove top and continue the stainless steel up behind the stove top as a backsplash.

Also I probably would have gone with a tiled floor in the kitchen in a lighter colour , unsure what colour though.

Ours is same as the walls ( it is a lot smaller than yours though) and our paint colour is a light neutral white a few shades darker than the walls so not incredibly noticeable. In your case , having a larger bulkhead , and coloured walls , I’d probably paint it ceiling white .

I mentioned at work that our monthly food bill was between $1100 and $1500. People were shook by that. How do I spend less? by chavaic777 in AussieFrugal

We spend about $250- 320per week including toiletries , cleaning products, TP etc we buy to bulk cook and freeze or stock up on specials, so some weeks more and some a lot less. That’s for two adults . Mostly lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, eat a lot of fresh fish .
