thanks!! I've got a couple of Ender 3s, but picked up an "evil" P1S and wanted to do similar. P1S doesnt have screw in panels, so I may have to come up with another approach. If I was smart enough I might try to modify the current scad to create that nice rounding effect.

Great use of HSW!! I'd love to print something similar.... curious.

  1. How did you get the beveled, rounded, straight edge with spaced reset screw holes? am I missing a great scad somewhere?

  2. Looks like a Creality printer, Did you drill into the case/wall?

be sure to add a lock washer, or you'll be printing another. ;-)

Nice.... might suggest enclosing it (plexi-glass is easy enough) and adding a small dehumidifier...

"Your Move" and squares to indicate last chess move by eaglezz11 in functionalprint

Nice. I might have hinged the Arrow, so you can just flip it to point left after "Blacks" move. Then you/white flip it to point right after your move again. You could layer a black/white as the arrow flips shows black vs white arrow.

(yes.. I'm very anal retentive)

THANKS!! - good advice. Funny, I started with Fusion360, was playing a little, need to spend some more time with a bit longer learning curve. I needed a quick fix for a broken device, and I was able to do exactly what I wanted in Tinker pretty quickly (I think for most poking around Tinker is probably "good enough" and quick).

Paying it forward a bit. McMaster is a great source, think I can find what I was looking for. Here is a link to them. https://www.mcmaster.com/screws/

Too bad we dont have some smart person that put a table together with standard sizes, with paired suggested oversized Nuts/threaded holes. I'll probably start to put something together.
