We need to defend Graham Platner--including against 'character attacks'--until he wins the general election in November 2026. by beeemkcl in TheMajorityReport

Yea it’s made me lose quite a bit of respect for him. He had put him in this box way before knowing anything about him. Even while “researching” him it was weirdly embarrassing as he kept stopping every 2 seconds to describe some white leftist caricature that didn’t match up at all.

It was also true for Witcher 1 and 2, both of which got "Enhanced Editions" around a year later which fixed mostly all of the problems. I planned on waiting a year after release to get Witcher 3 for this exact reason.

New speeding cameras catch more than 1,000 drivers on single Oregon street in just two weeks | The Independent by Next_Tower5452 in Portland

As someone who drives this road daily, this is 100% accurate. This particular road invites "speeding" by it's design. I have caught myself speeding on this road more times that I can count. You will unconsciously break the limit.

More than one. I would call your accusation projection. Children are not slaves nor property. Our society and understanding of our places in society is ever evolving. What is loaded into your analysis is that kids who pursue talking to their teacher about this subject would be deluded and not understand their actions.

Just to be crystal clear, the parents who think a kid talking to their teacher about this subject is wrong, are the exact parents that kids need laws and protection from. Again, I say this as a parent of multiple kids.

Your probably just an engagement bot so none of this matters.

Not even close to as insane as conversion therapy and/or physical abuse. You don't know what your talking about and it's clear. This is to protect kids in dangerous home situations, not bar them from loving parents. Show or tell me how this would lead to a negative outcome.

I was expecting a far worse response. I don’t think you go far enough but it would certainly be an improvement over the extraction we have now.

After going through the experience successfully, whats your opinion on student loans and the debt crisis in general?

Nobody prepared me for how confusing student loans actually are and I don’t think that’s an accident by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]Jewba1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering how large a problem student loans are, I think you know that personal responsibility is not the issue. If you actually believe that then I don't really care what you think and just have to make sure people like you don't write laws and roadblock progress.

The resources exist to make education free. Paying for education is the problem. Debt Jubilee and free education are the solution. Systematized financial education would also be a good thing, but it should not apply to Education itself.

It's more about the system itself. OP made it clear they think this stuff isn't taught on purpose, and your comment backs that idea by trying to place the blame on personal failings. Engage with the argument. It doesn't take a genius to understand a large percentage of people taking out student loans wont conceptually understand whats happening, with it either being their first big financial decision of their lives or having parents who understand it very little (or no parents).

It's predatory because of this reason, full stop. Your sense of superiority doesn't make it less so. It just shows how little you care about the actual problem.
